I think these 4 guys are gonna being built up to be the future of the WWE within the next few years, kinda like Cena, Batista, Orton and Edge 10 years ago. Who do you think will be THE top guy? I think that Big E and Roman Reigns will be pushed to the moon and even have reigns with the undisputed title, but I think that Dean Ambrose will surpass them as the top face.

I've heard great things about this guy named John Cena. Good look, hard worker, company guy. Could be a big player in the future.

Big E, Roman Reigns, Kalisto & Dean Ambrose will all be on top in 5 years. Roman & Big E as the powerhouses (Cena/Batista), Kalisto as the Rey Mysterio type-talent, & Dean as their CM Punk style character who never quite surpasses the two lead guys - Roman & Big E.

After Cena's master performance on RAW, it really drove it home for me that he's not going to be replaced until they have someone else who can completely wrap the crowds around their finger the way Cena can.
And of the four in the poll, Ambrose is the only one who shows any potential in that regard.
(Though really, it's hard to think of any exemplary mic workers in the new generation of guys, other than Bray Wyatt, who's pretty obviously never going to be the face of the company.)

It's quite possible none of them will be. Ambrose is the most well-rounded out of the four, and I think he'll be a top heel in the coming years. Not "the guy" though.
Reigns and Big E have a lot of potential but I'm not sure they have what it takes to be a long lasting draw like Cena. Rollins I struggle to see getting above IC/US title level.
It's hard to predict though. No one thought Cena in 2003 would become the man for the next decade.

I was going to pick HHH, but seeing how neither he nor Charmander an option... I CHOOSE....
Dean Rollins. He's got something.

I think, of those, Big E has the best shot. Roman is awesome, but I dont think he has the talking ability to be THE top guy. Batista-esque? Sure, and that would be great if he got to that level, but I don't think he'll be THE top guy until his talking improves.
Ambrose has the ability to talk and the charisma to hold the crowd, but I think he stays heel for a looooong time, and even if he ends up as an amazing 2000 Triple H level heel, heels are never THE top guy in WWE.
Seth is fine, and has great matches, but I'd be very surprised if he's ever a regular main event player. Maybe a Benoit level push where he's that reliable hand in the middle/upper mid card who jumps into title matches every once in a while.
Big E meanwhile, has a weird charisma about him, is a fine talker with what I feel is room to improve greatly, and has a really good look. Plus, as small as it is, the part of the match where he pulls the strap down and always gets the crowd super fired up isn't something to gloss over. Give this dude a year of good, consistent booking, a few interesting storylines in there, and time on the mic to show off his hilarious/awesome charisma, and I think he could have a chance to be, at WM31, where Cena was at WM21.
Obviously it's all a crapshoot though. Who knows.

rnrk made a good point about the high bar that a truly THE guy player needs to be in that spot, and I'm not sure any of them have it. Ambrose is closest, but I feel like he may lack a few intangibles in the areas we don't like to admit are intangibles namely look/size.
Reigns has the look, but not the mic skills. Big E has the charisma and star power and kind of the look, but hasn't really put that charisma together in actual "mic skills". He could eventually though.
They all have potential, but after voting Reigns I've since realized he may actually have the least potential to be THE guy. A huge star within wrestling of Batista calibur yes, but he can't be THE guy unless he pics it up on the mic which I don't see happening.
The other two could do it. Ambrose could surpass his look especially in an era that emphasizes that less, and Big E is still young and has time to put the package all together more. I'm going with Ambrose for now.

Dean Ambrose's disadvantage is that he looks older than he is. My gf thinks he looks about 37

I think Reigns won't go as far as some people think. They won't even put the guy in singles matches yet, so they can't be that confident in him. My money is on Rollins. Yeah, he's mediocre on the mic, but so was Jeff Hardy. I really think Rollins is going to get to the level Jeff was in 2008/9 and then keep going due to a clean lifestyle.

Reigns then Big E. they both have the look and the backstage support to make them the next big star. just need to work on their mic work as others have said.
Rollins i think will be tuck in upper midcard-land and Ambrose i think will be in kind of a Jake the Snake Roberts role, where he could be inserted into a main angle and no one would think twice but never be "the" main guy. probably stays among the top 3 heels while he's around.

Reigns, I think, will be a huge star. Even when he was in singles in FCW, I thought he was okay and that was before a few years of seasoning. I think he'll be something special.
Ambrose will basically be Edge. He'll be the guy they plug into top storylines whenever they need a heel, whenever they have to find SOMEONE to feud with a top guy, but he'll never be looked at as truly great by the general public.
I don't think Langston's going to go that far. I'm a huge fan, I think he's amazing, but I just don't think he'll get the company behind him for some reason.

The most important criteria for the position is: mic skills.
That's 99.99% of the job. If any of the above are awkward or stiff on the speaky stick then they've got no chance. It'll never happen.
