Every PPV since Summerslam has sucked. Aside from last RAW's ending, TV has sucked for months. The year is almost over so it's safe to say 2013 has been a bust. It donned on me that years ending in 3 are pretty bad. 2003 was the reign of terror. 1993 was the failed Luger push and the exodus of most of their main eventers with the new generation still trying to establish themselves. Even 1983 was bad. Backlund was still champ. Do you think there might be some sort of curse?

If there is a curse, the match quality alone throughout this year shattered it.

I haven't been too impressed with the match quality. I think this year has been obscenely over rated when it comes to match quality. Hardly any of the matches had any fire. Just going through the motions, like a well rehearsed dance. That's how I feel about all the Shield matches, which most people say stole the year.

And years that end in 8 or 1 are just brilliant.

And years that end in 8 or 1 are just brilliant. This is true. 1988, 1998, 1991, 2001, and 2011 were all great. 2008 was pretty good too

2003 Smackdown was pretty awesome. Yeah, I can't say 2003 was bad just because Smackdown kicked so much ass.

1983 saw the very beginning of the push to go national. Could it be the Curse of the NWA?

Because the business has 7 year cycles and years that end in 6 are usually the start of a new cycle.
1986 saw the build to Andre VS Hogan. 1996 saw Austin 316. 2006 saw the rise of John Cena.
Years that end in 3-4-5 are sort-of transitionals.
Sooooooo... those oh-hum last 7 years? That was a boom cycle. I'm positive the deaths of Benoit & Guerrero as well as the departure of Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle caused it to not boom as hard as it should have.
We're entering the crash now. My guess is that in 2016, WWE will change their programming, either to a more attitudinal content or to the complete opposite, to a more sports-influenced base.

Smackdown is over rated in 2003. Brock and Angle were good and Heel Cena but we had that horrible Al Wilson stuff, Zach Gowen, all that played out Mcmahon family crap, the Eddie/Big Show "kaka" bit, etc.

2013 is was awesome for both in-ring and story lines. I've enjoyed mot shows this year. In other words, my opinion is right and your is wrong because it doesn't agree with mine.

Hey, I'm sure 1993 and 2003 are some people's favorite years. Besides, you probably like it because Renee Young became a full time interviewer

I've enjoyed 2013 quite a bit even though I believe the Big Show taking DB's place in the story line was incredibly dumb, one angle and 2 bad ppv endings don't ruin the whole year.

Benoit stuff aside, there wasn't a lot that I could say was actually good that year. In fact, I don't remember a lot from that year except for Shawn Michaels being out for months, Chris Jericho's return, Vince being blown up, Vince's son angle, Edge and Vickie's wedding and so forth.

2003 had Kane be the most interesting he has ever been, the rise of Evolution and the first time necrophilia has been televised on a sports entertainment program.
You guys are way too picky.
