That got me wondering, can YOU personally switch off the part of your brain that wants to overanalyse everything that happens, and just run with the flow as a fan?? You got kind of a weird narrative going on here. I don't struggle to shut off my thinking-part to enjoy things; thinking about things is part of HOW I enjoy them. If I just "went with the flow," I'd probably enjoy wrestling LESS, because I wouldn't be noticing and appreciating stuff like the cool way a match is structured to highlight the story, and that's what I get the most out of.

Two things will make me mark out 1.) Getting rid of the steaming pile of shit on commentary and bringing back this man. ![](http://i.imgur.com/YxmE3.gif) And 2.) Getting rid of the GOAT and bringing back this sexy beast. This guy's YES! has a lot more personality into it. GoatFace's YES! is so robotic and repetitive. ![](http://i.imgur.com/w7K2u.gif)

Any time I go to a live show. I immerse myself in the environment and end up having a blast.

Don't insult my intelligence and/or make me sit through dumb crap, and I'll happily suspend my disbelief. It's even better when something captures my imagination, though that's rarer and tends not to last too long depending on what happens next.

Yes, rather easily. When they do something that triggers my imagination. Bingo. I was in full 100% mark-mode from Punk's pipebomb all the way up until he jobbed to Triple H. I immediately bought Punk's BITW T-Shirt and wore it constantly, I bragged about the show to friends who'd gotten out of wrestling, and I sat in front of my TV every Monday just waiting for that static to hit. I also marked huge for this year's SummerSlam build, ordered the PPV days in advance, and actually had a SummerSlam party with my buddies. There was no "smark" talk at all. We just ate pizza and geeked out over some wrestling. It's a damn shame WWE always finds a way to crush excitement.

It takes a lot to get me to mark, but it can be done. Last time it really happened was during that awesome Punk/Heyman promo after the night of (I believe) Money in the Bank.
Sometimes I'll think to myself "Why the f*** am I watching wrestling?" and then something like that will happen to remind me.

I'm mostly a mark. To me the backstage details are just stuff to yammer about in between marking out. The ratings/buyrates stuff is generally boring unless it's becoming apparent a company's about to fold or a show's gonna be cancelled, and those aren't frequent issues.

Goldust's return, ensuing matches, and Tag Title win, had me marking like a kid.

I marked over Punk's pipebomb promo, because it was different and felt genuine in a world of corporate buzzwords and shallow hard-sells.
But I mostly mark for stupid little moments. Stuff like Brock kicking Cena's hat, which was unintentional comedy to me.

I do, it helps having someone sitting next to me enjoying the product as much as I am. I sit with my youngest kid on Mondays and PPV's and find I enjoy just being a fan as long as he's having fun watching.
