Better than some give it credit for.

Never played it!
But after hearing about that one particular way of seeing the logo I can never not see it!

I had fun with it, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.

Chris' parts were terrible, but it's still an okay game. Not worth $60

Leon's part was...passable, at best.
The rest were abominable.
I hate what the Resident Evil franchise has become.

Some decent ideas bogged down by a bunch of half-assed work.

Some decent ideas bogged down by a bunch of half-assed work. Pretty much this. Leon's story was the most enjoyable to me, but after that it felt like it was all downhill. I never even went back to finish the last chapter.

A mess of a game. Doesn't know what it wants to be.

A complete and utter disappointment. It's even more disappointing than 4 or 5 (I'll explain that in a minute) in that they actually made an attempt to somehow relate the current games to the older ones in a way that extends past characters but they really half assed it every step along the way and created an experience that, instead of being as immersive, intertwined, and cinematic as they hoped ended up falling flat on all front.
And yes, 4 and 5 are really disappointing as Resident Evil games. I'm not saying the games never should've changed but there was a lot of the Resident Evil charm that I fell in love with in the earlier games. There's a very distinct reason that once a year I take an afternoon to charge through RE1-3 and have only played through 5 twice and 6 once. Hell, I got the Archives edition of 6 on the first day, that's how excited I was for it and I left the Ada campaign unplayed until this summer when my roommate suggested we play it because we'd finished all of Chappelle's Show and needed something to do while we smoked our hookah.

My overall opinion of it is "meh."
There's nothing outright terrible about it. But there's nothing all that great about it either. Total middling experience.

And crazy as it sounds, Revelations is worse. I lost my patience for that game early on after I heard Chris' partner say "I'm getting my sweet ass down there!" early on and said f*** it.

Had a couple neat things/parts but was overall very mediocre.
It's like they don't even know what they want the franchise to be anymore

Almost considered getting it today, decided against it after I remembered reading this thread. Got LoTR War in the North, which is pretty good and Wheelman for the same price I would've paid for RE6.

Well you missed out on a much better game. Honestly if I rated my experiences in Resident Evil games based on their dialogue, I'd have given up early on in 1.

Jessica's almost-parody characterization makes more sense at the end of the game. But Revelations is infinitely better than 6 in every way except that Raid mode is slightly less fun than Mercenaries.

I dunno, I played a couple of times with my brother, pretty long sessions both times and neither of us could get into it. I thought it felt pretty clunky overall and it just didn't grab me like the other titles did.
