I think there might be a divide with men and women when watching this, which is always good on the show. And my "man" might be showing, but I'm definitely on Cena's side. I think after his divorce, there's no more bullshit with him. Same as the divide I saw on a certain "break" during Friends

And let's not forget everyone, Cena's previous marriage ended because he was f***ing everything he could so yeah, the "bullshit" of the previous relationship was him being a turd.

And let's not forget everyone, Cena's previous marriage ended because he was f***ing everything he could so yeah, the "bullshit" of the previous relationship was him being a turd. Which he admits to. So kudos for honesty. Definite kudos for honesty, but psychologically it speaks to (frankly) two very flawed individuals. A man who was married, cheated left and right, got divorced, and now wants to "protect himself" from consequences should he either do it again or should his new significant other start having demands of her own. ON the other hand, a woman who returns to a former career, which she left to find bigger and better things, then hooks up and moves in with the top employee in the company despite his past behavior being apparent common knowledge and her own wishes running counter to what her new love interest proclaims. I'd say we are looking at a man with control issues (OCD being a common side effect) that centers around image and projection, as well as a pathological need to be liked. We have a woman who is driven by a fear of failure and need to be loved, who is glaringly co-dependent, and who seeks security to the point that she will apparently forego personal wishes or beliefs.

It's not like Cena is holding Nikki against her will. Hell, if anything it's the opposite in that there was so much red tape to move in to Cena's to begin with!
Cena has great reasons for not wanting kids. That being said, why does he even need reasons for not wanting kids beyond simply just not wanting them? If anything it's the people who want to procreate who need a valid reason for why they want to have kids. Why have kids when there's already enough screwed up people on this planet as it is? Why risk adding more clowns to the Volks Wagon?

If you think about it, the guy has seen a LOT of sick kids in his career. Whilst it must feel great to be able to go cheer them up, it's also gotta be seriously depressing too.

Cena told this to Nikki since the beginning, so of course I'm on Cena's side. However, i do feel for Nikki. It's sad we may never get a Cena Jr. in WWE. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) I don't think people really should be taking sides, but yeah Cena made his feelings clear early on so Nikki shouldn't be surprised.

Let's be honest here guys, it kind of a dickhead move to date a girl, buy her expensive gifts, and move her into your home... That's about where ya lost me. I can't believe anybody is calling Cena's 'side' here anything resembling a dickish one. If anything Nikki's Hooters friends are the 'dicks' so to speak, they use the free plane tickets (again purchased by Dr. Horrible himself Cena) as an excuse to interrogate the man about his personal relationship and his opinion on marriage/kids, and pretty much ignore his clearly-stated opinion using the "every woman deserves marriage and children screw what the guy wants" defense to potentially wreck the progress Nikki + Cena were making (i.e. if it was Nikki's ulterior motive to one day convince Cena to change his mind, the Hooters Girls knocked that train off the rails perhaps permanently). Nikki has one point about her making 'all the sacrifices' while Cena makes none basically, and always wants it his way or the highway. Mostly with that episode about his OCD while living in the Cena Mansion, Nikki's got the capabilities to slowly bring Cena around to normal-peoples-thinking. She erred when she took her friends' advice and got a bit jealous over Eva Marie and Brie's engagement rings IMHO, and it's certainly not a 'dickish' move on Cena's part to stick to his explained-on-the-first-date guns when Nikki gave him the ultimatum.

Never in a million years did I expect Total Divas to bring about such a discussion. This truly is the greatest show in the history of our sport.

Yeah, regularly seeing kids that have a strong possibility of not living to adulthood can play a role of not wanting kids. No one wants that to happen to kids especially your own.

Kinda hypocritical of Mr. Never give up to have given up on never being married with children after failing at at least half of it once before. Because wrestlers should be expected to follow their catchphrases in real life.

I agree with Cena, he told her about this from the get go. But like every woman, they take it as a challenge to change him. He's 100 percent right though. Main eventers, like himself, the marriages fall by the wayside as do the kids, nine times out of ten.

I don't doubt Nikki cares about John, but I think there's maybe a bit of gold-digging going on. Or maybe she's in love with the idea of him rather than him, I don't know.
Let's be honest. He wants entirely different things from her. And would she really be willing to stick around when he has said several times he'll never marry or have kids with her if this was John Cena: Car mechanic instead of John Cena: Multi-millionaire?
