Hardy selling like death and this match isn't even 5 minutes old.

I think it is as simple as that. Hardy gets a reduced schedule (even more now with TNA going off the road and back to the Impact Zone) and TNA promotes his side projects like crazy. Jeff is probably content with that. I'm not even a WWE fan, and I think Jeff should go back for one more run. TNA has used him about as much as they could, and he is kind of just there now instead of being featured as a top star. IIRC before Jeff left last time, the E offered him a schedule where he worked nothing but TV and PPV's for some ungodly amount of money. Vince loves that guy, he'll be back sooner rather than later. I imagine that TNA will try to low ball him when his contract comes up. I thought the situation was that Jeff wanted that HBK schedule where he works TV and PPVs, but WWE wanted him full-time on the road. Could be wrong though.

Now, I'm starting to think they'd actually go ahead with a Hardy heel turn even after all that.

TNA is so much more entertaining without the stink of Ace's and 8's.

"Sometimes it works, sometimes it don't". Good job summing up everything that could possibly happen, Taz.

I remember it the other way, but I also could be wrong. regardless, I'm sure that they would give him the easy superstar schedule when he goes back. Dude could walk in tomorrow and be at least the 2nd or 3rd most over guy in the company.

OK, if a singles match has more than a Step 1, chances are it's too gimmicky.

IIRC, WWE offered Jeff a greatly reduced schedule but Hardy wanted to take some time off from wrestling altogether and let his contract expire. Shortly afterwards, he got busted for drugs and Punk cut a shoot promo mocking Hardy on the next PPV. Hardy got pissed and swore that he would never go back to WWE. Hence, we got Hardy in TNA.

OK, if a singles match has more than a Step 1, chances are it's too gimmicky. Step one: climb out of the cage. Step two: write a 1,500 word essay on why you want to be world champion. cite sources. step three: file your tax return. step four: take a shower. step five: get dressed. step six: read eat, pray, love step seven: go up the ramp step eight: get an aids test. step nine: climb the ladder. step ten: do the harlem shake.
