How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Androids
Team Four Star did the unthinkable, the inconceivable. They took 17 and 18 and made them even more awesome! A very funny episode. The parts with Yajirobe and the banter between Gero and the Androids were the best parts. I can't wait to see what 16 will be like in January.

Pretty nice, but so far it looks like there's still no topping 31. I'm enjoying the hell out of Trunks and Vegeta. I can't wait for them to get to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber episodes, I wanna see what happens with those two locked up in a small space for a year.

Pretty good. I liked how apathetic and, well, teenage the androids seemed. Can't wait for Perfect Cell, I just know they'll do his voice justice.

I don't know if it's you who I've had this same conversation with before, but I've heard a preview of what Perfect Cell will sound like, and trust me, you will NOT be disappointed. Taka f***ing nailed it. I can't wait either. Great episode. Better than the last one (even though I enjoyed that one too), but still doesn't top 36. I love Vegeta/Trunks, and the very subtle references and callbacks were awesome. I even legit went "Awww" when Piccolo told Gohan he was a good kid after hearing what Vegeta said to Trunks. Shame Dr. Gero had to go so soon, he's been f***ing hilarious since his debut. And TFS continues the trend of whichever character dies in a certain episode, that character is the one who does the opening disclaimer. At least they already set-up the idea that this isn't the last time we'll see, or at least hear, from Gero. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Android 13 being Gero, who went through a Southern phase. I'm liking the small taste of the Androids so far, and I can't wait to see more of them later, especially what they have in store for 16.

Like Yami said, Taka knows exactly how to match Dameon Clarke's voices for all three of Cell's forms. I'll bet some people will get fooled into thinking they got him from Funi.

The same could be said about Lanipator's Piccolo. There's times where you could tell it's Lani, but then there's other times where I wonder if they got Christopher Sabat. Best example I can think of is Piccolo's famous (infamous?) "I can win! I. CAN. DO. THIS!" speech. I honestly can't tell if it's Lani or if they just took the actual sample of Sabat's version, until Nail interrupts him. What's even better about Taka doing Cell is that since he first teased it those couple of years ago, he's had time to perfect the voice even MORE by voicing Alucard, who have similar voices. So if he nailed it the first time, I can only imagine how amazing he'll sound once we actually get there. And speaking of Cell, anyone else catch the little acknowledgement of his existence in this episode?

wow and we thought Goku was a lousy father. Which does make me wonder how they'll portray Goku during the Time Room thing with Gohan, and just how much of the filler before the Cell games we'll get.

I don't like the running gag of Goku being neglectful of Gohan. I get it, there is a contingent of fans who see him that way from the other versions. But Goku couldn't spend time with Gohan in the beginning, because he was dead and then Gohan went off himself with Krillin and Bulma. How was Goku supposed to have quality time with him then? Not to mention he DID spend time with for three years as well as the Room of Spirit and Time. I just never really find it that funny. At least he's portrayed as being neglectful out of stupidity, not a lack of love for his son.

Depends where they decide to pull the trigger on Gohan's boiling point of being neglected; either when he goes SSJ in the Time Room, or SSJ2 against Perfect Cell. At first I thought the logical choice would be SSJ2, then I thought they'd do it in the Time Room by having Gohan go SSJ after Goku instructs him to think of the one thing that makes him mad the most, which would be the negligence (they already have footage of SSJ Gohan sparring with Goku, which could be used as Gohan actually lashing out). But now I'm back to my original choice of SSJ2, and I think they'll portray Perfect Cell as being a better father to his Cell Jr.'s than Goku ever was to Gohan, which will finally set Gohan off, going SSJ2 and obliterating all of the Cell Jr.'s out of anger, and maybe even jealousy.

At least he's portrayed as being neglectful out of stupidity, not a lack of love for his son. At this point, that contingent shouldn't even be an issue anymore. There's zero doubt that Goku loved and cared for Gohan, it's just that unfortunate circumstances took over any real chance of quality father/son time. It made some sense when we were younger and didn't take time to really think about it, though. That's what TFS does. Not only do they parody the series with general humor, but they also play on those silly ideas and misconceptions that we had growing up. Remember when most of us thought Freeza was a female when we were kids? Then when we found out he was actually a male, and that he was purposely portrayed as being androgynous, and it blew our young minds. They had Krillin echo our exact thoughts when he too found out ("THAT THING'S A GUY?!?!"). Freaky alien genotype.

Also, there are moments in Dragon Ball that aren't narm?

Can't unhear Jan Valentine whenever 17 speaks. I keep expecting him to threaten to skullf*** someone. Well that's cause they have the same voice actor. But yeah it is pretty brilliant using the Jan voice(slightly modified of course) for 17.
