It seems the majority of people being named in this thread are comedic actors. So out of curiosity, to those who don't like guys like Ferrell, Carrey, Sandler etc....do you watch any comedy films these days? Cuz those guys make up about 90% of them.

For comedy, it's definitely guys like Seth Rogan, Danny McBride, Will Ferrell and so forth. I guess the reason I tolerate Sandler or Carrey is because I enjoyed them some when I was younger, but I don't seek out their movies.
For other movies, I guess if I consider that person to be a bad actor or something...I really rather not see them. Guys like Hugh Grant, Matthew Broderick, Channing Tatum, Topher Grace and Jake Gyllenhaal. I'd probably add someone like George Clooney to the list, but despite being fairly wooden himself, he usually submerges into good movies, so his performance is often thankfully overlooked.

None, because any actor can do a performance that you will like. And being disinterested in a film simply cause they are in it is being narrow minded, imo.
I mean hell exactly how many of us had written off Channing Tatum and then turned our opinions around because of 21 Jump Street?

James Franco. Phones it in in just about every movie unless he loves the project. Always seems stoned.

Anything with Cameron Diaz. She bugs so hard. Ditto Halle Berry and Jennifer Aniston. Talentless bimbos who bring nothing to the table. Also, if the movie includes Anmber Heard my interest drops immediatly.

Katherine Heigl, Kate Hudson, Kristen Stewart, Adam Sandler's hanger ons.
And if Kat Dennings moves on from supporting roles like the Thor movies to her own vehicles, her too

Most actors I enjoy there are two exceptions:
Hugh Grant - all his roles are the same. Sean Penn - Find him awful as an actor.

I enjoyed the Ben Stiller show, but I feel like unless he's in a Wes Anderson film he's always doing the same schtick. And since it was mentioned Katherine Heigl. But I think Katherine has committed career hari kari herself.

Jim Carrey. Gave him WAY too many second chances.
Julia Roberts, and pretty much any big 90's star. You can only play the same role so many times.
Angelina Jolie used to have movies that would be an automatic hit. Her last 5 movies all bombed. Salt was a giant pile of garbage.
I would also say Adam Sandlar, but once in a while(when he tries, and picks a good movie) he can be a pretty good actor.

I mean hell exactly how many of us had written off Channing Tatum and then turned our opinions around because of 21 Jump Street? Being narrow minded is not accepting someone because of a prejudice outside of what they are supposed to do or not do. An example of this are the people who avoided DiCaprio movies after Titanic because "Leo is totally gay". But if an actor has put out (what I consider) stinker after stinker...why should I without warning watch their new movie? That's not being prejudice, that's being cautious. I'm willing to change my attitude about an actor if they do indeed put a great performance out there. However, my money is staying in my pocket until I may hear otherwise. Too much of my childhood was wasted on actors who put the same junk out there time after time, and I'd rather not continue to help fund their mediocrity. It's essentially me paying them to continue to do a bad job.

It's essentially me paying them to continue to do a bad job. I just don't agree with not seeing a film because of the actors involved. By all means if the rest of the film looks like legit crap avoid it, but for a film to look otherwise amazing to you and then as soon as you see an actor you hate you become instantly disinterested, I just don't get that.
