Japanese Episode 12 of Season 2 today, "Pinkie Pie as Babysitter"...
Translation-wise nothing to report (even Pinkie's stand-up jokes were translated and not turned into some Japanese-specific jokes).
Cuts I noticed:
1. Pinkie's banter with Nurse Redheart got cut short (after her "The babies are trying to sleep.", we cut immediately to Applejack's "Now why in the world is one of them a pegasus...").
2. A little bit of the convo between the Cakes and Pinkie before the former go was cut short (Carrot Cake's comment on doing the frosting at the place where they cater).
3. Pinkie's first tries of calming down the Cake Twins after the first commercial break was cut (Pinkie trying their favoritest game among it. After the commercial, we directly cut to Pinkie doing a crazy face before going into the stand-up routine).
4. Pinkie reading the instruction on the meal got cut (we go directly to her opening the fridge).
5. A bit of the conversation between Twilight and Pinkie got cut (namely Twilight's "figured you need some help" and Pinkie Pie's "Ex-cuse me?". This makes it a bit awkward, because it makes it look like Pinkie did a 180 out of nowhere from glad for TWilight's coming to being mad and shooing her out of the house).
See you next time for "Merry Merry Canterlot" (yes, that's the episode's name)...

Hopefully that will point some more people to you. Heh, hopefully. Glad you enjoy it, we definitely liked doing it. Incidentally, weird little factoid, to the point we're at drawing them (I think sixteen pages ahead of posting), the group hasn't been seen in-costume in 80-some pages and it'll probably be a gap of over a hundred pages by the time they do next wear them. So, this gave us a good chance to do something with them wearing them despite that. |
