My dad is from southern Indiana and my mom is from Michigan, and I lived in Oklahoma for some time. I got Rockford Illinois, which is funny since it's only about an hour and a half north of where I was born, despite my family only living there a short time. My dad did say a few things that I grew to stop using later on, the first being "supper", since I always thought it sounded too southern. The other is he would say "toasted cheese" as opposed to "grilled cheese", and I can't tell you the amount of people I would say "toasted cheese" to, and they'd be confused.
It's kind of funny that they have the option for "caramel" to be used interchangeably, since I tend to do that, due to hearing people say "carmel", whereas ads on TV would always say "caramel". Good to see it's a recurring thing with a lot of people.

I'm from the St. Louis area and it was dark red on the map as well.

Took it again, got different questions for about half and it pegged me Seattle, Tacoma, or Spokane, which is at least reasonably close to where I am, as opposed to San Jose, Honolulu and Anchorage it guessed the first time. It's obviously weighting certain terms more heavily than others.

I also took it again and got a couple different questions. The day before Halloween question NAILED it. I knew as soon as I answered that, it was going to predict exactly where I spent most of my years. It did.

Has me pegged as Moreno Valley, Corona, or San Berdo.
Being an OC boy, makes me wonder what's wrong with me.
Sorry IE.

Well that wasn't accurate at all.....I pretty much picked the things I and everyone around me in Oklahoma say and I didn't get a single Oklahoma town......though I did get all three of them to be Southern cities.

Said I'm from LA, Atlanta or Honolulu. Evidently Los Angeles=Northern England these days!

I'm English, but I did this just to confuse it. The three most similar cities I got were New York, San Jose and Honolulu.
Also - drive thru liquor stores? These are a thing?!

This doesn't work for Canadians, lol Sort of did for me. I answered it and got very Northern United States, including Detroit. We share a ton of speech patterns with Detroit.

I'm a Brit but I took it anyway.
I guess my spiritual home is Jersey City.

Sounds like us Brit's must somehow have a similar dialect to the New York/Jersey area since my three were: New York, Yonkers (is that a real place?) and Jersey City.

Whoa! It got my birth town of Honolulu, Hawaii, but didn't get where I was raised in Florida. The other towns were San Jose and Fremont.
