I've heard a few people say that Brian Christopher was quite under-rated and seeing his team with Scotty 2 Hotty, as annoying and ridiculous as the gimmick seemed, in the ring both Scotty and Grand Master Sexay were pretty solid hands, also their theme was awesome.
What do you guys think of Too Cool? Gimmick wise, in ring talent wise, just what do you think of them?

I like them better as heels when they would walk out with a giant boom box. This lasted like two weeks and I think Scotty got injured (He had long blonde braids at the time). They reminded me of PG-13.
Did enjoy the face run when they formed with Rakishi, though. They were so over.

A fun undercard act, but I actually preferred them as Too Much.

I liked them at the time. That was before "wacky dancing gimmick" was run into the ground by 25000 people.

I liked them at the time. That was before "wacky dancing gimmick" was run into the ground by 25000 people. Usually via a failed short lived jobber tag team with Scotty 2 Hotty

When my classmates at lunch, would meet on the field and do The Worm to each other, not the Peoples Elbow, not the Stone Cold Stunner, not the Pedigree, the goddamn Worm you know that Scotty was OVER. Personally being a fat dude pretty much from before I can remember I was always a fan of the... bigger guys who could get it done, so I was a pretty solid Rikishi fan back in the day. Brian Christopher was always just there for me, looking back he was probably the workhorse of the bunch but he just did nothing for me. I did laugh any time JR said Sexay so at least he had that going for him.

decent workers with a great gimmick. it's kinda sad that the attitude era had so many great tag teams who never got a run with the belt but nowadays there's a lot of comparably shittier teams who actually won the things.

Actually they did let too cool have the tag belts in 2000. The worm was get a huge pop even on wwf metal, too cool was mad over.

I have always disliked Scotty but the dude was over no doubt.
Brian Christopher probably could have had a better career if he didn't have a drug problem. I think he was solid in ring and was a really good heel. Sucked as a face though. I actually saw Christopher work at an arena near me a few years ago and he was the worst on the show (And you had a few unknowns on that Tour)
Rikishi fit in well, I have no beef with him.

I was a huge Too Cool fan when I was a teenager in the Attitude Era. Their impromptu dance segment during the 2000 Royal Rumble is still one of the more fun and creative booking moments of the Rumble. Their brief tag team reign in 2000 was a nice surprise. They were also a big part of Hot Night in D-Town. The Too Cool trio obviously could only maintain so long of a lifespan but it was so fun while it lasted.

Brian, at about the height of his popularity, in 2000, actually returned an email I sent him after getting it off of a dedicated fan site, and I have never forgotten him taking the time to do it.

I thought they were awesome. It was a very fun, lower card gimmick. I remember been a huge fan as a kid.

Too Cool was a fun tag team/group, but it lived beyond it's shelf life in Scotty 2 Hotty. We usually had some incarnation or off shoot of the group existing for the better part of the 2000's. Including when Rikishi and him got back together to reform a variation of the tag team. Ignoring that both should've been repackaged long before that or at least had their characters tweaked in some manner.
That said, the initial run was fun and I remember being a fan of the three of them. Probably the only thing I never cared for relating to them at their prime was Cactus Jack dancing with them on a Smackdown. Even when I was younger I thought that was weird that Cactus Jack was willing to dance. Regardless of the power of the Rikishi glasses and the fact that I would've accepted Foley as himself or Mankind doing it.
