Was just thinking about how odd it was that the first (broadcast) Simpsons episode was a Christmas episode. Can anyone else think of any other shows that started with a Holiday-themed episode (not neccesarily Christmas, but any Holiday).

Moral Orel's first episode was a Christmas episode (a hugely depressing Christmas episode).

The New Doctor Who starts today Well, to be technical, it's more the end of The Eleventh Doctor than the beginning of the Twelfth. That said, the Tenth Doctor's run kicked off with a Christmas Special.

In the "kind of, sort of" category: South Park started as a Christmas short.
