I am already getting Pokemon Y, Animal Crossing, Fir Emblem, and the new Legend of Zelda, eventually, and got Project X Zone as a present, so I am trying to figure out what other 3DS games are good to get, particularly RPGs, I guess.

Mario and Luigi: Dream Team is a surprisingly good turn-based RPG.

If you want an okay Zelda II clone for cheap, you should give the first Adventure Time game a try.

Rune Factory 4 looked theoretically decent. Have not played it, though.
Bravely Default is coming out soon, I think. It looks great.

Nothing for now, the games on your list will literally last you hundreds of hours. Maybe something like Mario 3D Land and some eshop titles such as Pushmo, Gunman Clive or Steamworld dig to break things up a little bit.
Then buy Bravely Default when it comes out over there (I assume you're in America).
Oh I suppose I should mention Etrian Odyssey 4 if you like dungeon crawlers.

Everyone has the must have RPGs you don't have covered.
So I'll suggest some non-RPGs, and they both happen to be downloadable-only in the West, so you'll need a good sized SD card, bigger than what is in the system by default.
First up is Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies. Even if you never played a prior game in this amazing series(which first of all, shame on you!), the game does a nice job of easing newcomers into the series.
Secondly is Senran Kagura Burst, which I already talked to you about in the past.
Don't forget you can play DS games, too, so don't forget to play them!

I wouldn't recommend SMTIV because yeah, the gameplay itself is fairly solid, but horrible music, horrible graphics, a horrible overworld map, a horrible story, generic art, horrible characters, and that insulting "premium" price tag of $50 even for the eShop version? No thanks. I cannot even begin to understand the love that piece of shit game gets.
I can't believe no one has recommended Virtue's Last Reward yet. Pick that up, and 999 if you can, though it's not required. I played it without any prior knowledge and absolutely loved it.

Unless it has been patched, the 3DS version has a save corrupting bug. When I suggest VLR, it is only the Vita version I suggest.

I do love the Phoenix Wright games, Koda, and yeah, non-RPGs are okay to recommend, too, just I am not particularly into puzzle games, in the Tetris-sort of sense, though Visual Novel, point and click sort of puzzles are cool with me.
Thanks for the good suggestions, guys, and feel free to keep going. I obviously can't play everything, at least not at once, but I am hoping to make my first console I am not sharing with folks well stocked.

Super Mario 3D Land looks fun. Yeah, I came in this thread to post this game. It's a pretty fun game and you probably can find it fairly cheap.

If you're into quirky rhythm games then Rhythm Thief and The Emperor's Treasure and Theatrerythm: Final Fantasy are worth a look. (Although the latter is going to get a sequel in the future with every song from the first game and a bunch of new ones.)

I was going to make this topic myself.
Only got Zelda: A Link Between Worlds so far, but it's keeping me occupied. I'd dare say it's the best Zelda game in years.

Since I only have a few games, I'll just list them all. The only one I'm not sure on is Kingdom Hearts but that's because I haven't played it or any of the other KH games. I would recommend all of them though, I got plenty of playing time out of them.
-Super Mario 3D Land -New Super Mario Bros 2 -Mario Kart 7 -Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time -Pokemon Y -Animal Crossing: New Leaf -Donkey Kong Returns -Kingdom Hearts 3DS
