Just like the Triple H thread, except with PPVs where John Cena won but should've lost.

Defeating Edge at the Royal Rumble a month after his MITB cash in when he was red hot. They could have dragged out the chase until Wrestlemania and made a lot of money.

Beating both of The Real Americans in a handicap match the other month.
Oh wait, you said PPVs.

I know a lot of people don't like him, but Del Rio losing to Cena at NoC 2011 was ridiculous.

I know a lot of people don't like him, but Del Rio losing to Cena at NoC 2011 was ridiculous. A lot of people did like ADR back in 2011. I'd wager that a lot of the stuff behind why he's unpopular now would be different if he had succeeded in getting over, and beating Cena sure wouldn't have hurt.

Not quite the same thing, but I always felt Cena's loss at Summer Slam in 2011 to Punk should have been clean.
He should have lost to Brock Lesnar at Extreme Rules.

Defeating Edge at the Royal Rumble a month after his MITB cash in when he was red hot. They could have dragged out the chase until Wrestlemania and made a lot of money. Yup. That's the number one time he's done that. To a lesser degree; Over Big Show and Edge at Mania 25. It was painfully obvious it was happening, but Big Show vs. Edge would have been better. Over Sheamus and company at Elimination Chamber, only to lose the title to Batista seconds later. Because Cena needed to win it before Batista came out. Again, I can't stress how much I hate these short title reigns. Over Brock Lesnar at Extreme Rules. I get it...Cena "needed a win" after Mania, but why did it have to come at the expense of a guy who had a "real" aura to him? He can always get his win back, but to deflate Lesnar right out of the gate was ridiculous. I'm usually okay with most Cena wins, but those were just annoying.

A lot of the times he'd win during his first reign in '05. It's not so much that he held the title for so long, but he was constantly beating every single odd he was up against without so much as looking like he broke a sweat. Which also on it's own is fine, except for how many times they threw out the word "underdog" when it came to him.
There were multiple instances where he'd win handicap matches against one of his opponents for the upcoming PPV, which does anything bt make then look like a threat. There was no reason why they had to protect him to the extreme level they did. It contradicted most everything they were shilling about the character.

I always felt like Cena should have lost at Summerslam 2007. He'd had a long enough title reign by that point & Orton was ready for another reign with the title. Especially in hindsight of Orton not being able to beat Cena for the title due to injury, I think that Orton should have gone over at Summerslam.

Edge at Unforgiven in Toronto. I get that Edge is the heel, but it would have sent the crowd home a lot happier.

Defeating Edge at the Royal Rumble a month after his MITB cash in when he was red hot. They could have dragged out the chase until Wrestlemania and made a lot of money. That had more to do with Cena/Trips already being set in stone. Cena beating Lesnar being a bad thing is something I disagree with. This was one of the rare occasions where a person actually came out good losing. Lesnar kept his heat because he went into the match being a massive douche and came out the match beating Cena within an inch of his life. It took Cena fighting dirty just to barely beat him. I will say that Cena going over Edge at Wrestlemania 25 and Del Rio in 2011 were both equally stupid since he ended up dropping the title both times back to them at the following PPVs.

When he beat the nexus in that one 6-on-6 elimination match, where he took a DDT outside the ring, and a few minutes after beat both Justin Gabriel and Barrett.

The quickness of that finish was due to shitty time management Despite that though, that is the finish Cena wanted. Jericho and Edge talked about that on this week's Talk is Jericho. Edge and Jericho both thought that Barrett should have won the match clean over Cena, but Cena thought the actual finish would be better.
