The Sting in the WWF thread made me think of this one, WWE.COM posted an article some months back on the Top 10 Wrestlers to never compate in the WWE. So in fantasy land, where would you have booked each of the 10 wrestlers below into the WWF/E timeline and who against?
#10: Magnum TA #9: Akira Hokuto #8: The (Original) Midnight Express #7: The Sinister Minister #6: Nikita Koloff #5: Vampiro #4: New Jack #3: The Great Muta #2: Abdullah The Butcher #1: Sting

I didnt do them all, but these ones immediately came to my mind:
#9: Akira Hokuto Could have been the one to break Alundra Blayze's nose in 1995 instead of Bertha Faye, before joining forces to manage Hakushi while challenging Blayze for the Womens Championship, a series of mixed tag matches with Blayze/1-2-3 Kid against Hokuto/Hakushi would have been fun in the summer of 1995. She was still with AJW at this time and they always had a good relationship with WWE.
#7: The Sinister Minister I know he wasnt used much in WCW after 1997 despite being under contract, and didnt show up in ECW until around 2000, so he would have been the perfect fit for the WWF in late 1998-early 1999 as the mastermind behind the Ministry of Darkness, instead of Paul Bearer who was just "there" a partnership with him and The Undertaker could have been really sick.
#6: Nikita Koloff He wasnt doing anything of note in 1990, so coming in as The Ultimate Warriors first challenger or perhaps even taking Sgt Slaughters place as the one to dethrone him leading to a Wrestlemania main event with Hogan, something he had originally been offered in 1985 when Vince approached him.
#5: Vampiro Perfect choice to take DDP's role in the early Invasion angle, stalking The Undertaker before taking him out, which forces Taker to return to his darkside roots (he stayed as The American Badass far longer than he should have)
#3: The Great Muta I would have liked him to be reposnisble for the "death" of The Undertaker at the 1994 Rumble (instead of the 10 guys) helping Yokozuna, and then have Fuji manage him, perhaps pick up a strong with at WM 10 over someone like Tatanka or someone, have him team with Yoko (in Crush's place) to face The Headshrinkers at KOTR and then prep him for Undertaker's return in the summer for a showdown at Summerslam 1994.

I liked Vampiro in WCW, and yes he had a pretty successful career pre and post WCW. He is a character WWE could have really worked with, or at least tried too.
Feuds with Undertaker and Kane during the Invasion and later IC/US Title runs facing the likes of Edge, Eddie, Benoit, Jericho in 2002-03 etc would have been cool.

Can't see how you can have Hokuto and Muto in there but not Jushin Liger.

New Jack?? Really? Abby too, these guys had little to no talent, just the desire to dish out and take real damage. As Lou Thesz would say " They don't know a wrist lock from a wristwatch".

There's the ten minute version of that interview floating around the Youtubes. It's pretty interesting. Vince seems very respectful & somewhat in awe of Thesz.
