Just rewatched the awesome Fatal Four Way Match between Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero and X-Pac. Wow! Great match I had more or less completely forgotten about. I'm really confused as to who the faces and heels were though.
X-Pac was already teaming with Justin Credible, so I'm fairly sure he was a heel. The announcers talk about Jericho as though he's a heel, but this is only a short while before he started teaming with Benoit as a face. In other words, I have no clue who was what at this point. Anybody who can help out on this forum? Thanks a lot!

Jericho was a face, the other three are heels. Benoit was in the midst of a face turn though.

Was Ross on commentary? Was he mistaking Jericho for Benoit?

Was Ross on commentary? Was he mistaking Jericho for Benoit? Just imagine Jericho vs Benoit vs Kanyon vs Christian?! Ross wouldn't know who was who.

I believe Guerrero and Benoit were both heels as Radicalz at the time and Benoit very shortly after left them and turned face?

Somewhat off topic, but I liked the X-Pac/Justin Credible team. I hated that they added Albert he was not necessary. They should have been pushed more.

I have another question, what was up with Big Show's run in during the main event? Did they ever follow that up?

When I first saw that match, I recall thinking Benoit wasn't heel since it seemed he was mostly wrestling clean.
Hell, even the fans seemed undecided in this match. Well, except X-Pac for obvious reasons.

I have another question, what was up with Big Show's run in during the main event? Did they ever follow that up? Memory is very hazy, but yeah on the following RAW: WWF Hardcore Champion the Big Show pinned Essa Rios at 7:25 by pressing him horizontally against the wall backstage; the bout was originally scheduled to be Show defending against Kurt Angle and WWF World Champion the Rock but, after interference from other Steve Blackman, Hardcore Holly, Crash Holly, Billy Gunn, Albert, Essa Rios, and Perry Saturn, Show scored the pinfall on Rios backstage; after the bout, Steve Austin came to the ring and fought off a number of wrestlers before having a staredown with the Rock as the show went off the air, with Austin on the floor and Rock inside the ring

I have another question, what was up with Big Show's run in during the main event? Did they ever follow that up? Just another failed attempt at a Big Show push before they finally got serious about it with his Lesnar feud.

Just another failed attempt at a Big Show push before they finally got serious about it with his Lesnar feud. What I found funny was that Big Show was played up as being a massive threat to Brock Lesnar (who at this stage had already taken out Hogan, Rock and Undertaker) despite the fact he'd been jobbing to Booker T on Raw just a couple of months beforehand.

Early 2001 is one of the most confusing times of Big Shows continuity.
Also, Jericho was definitely a face. He didnt turn heel until the end of the year.

I distinctly remember Jericho being the only face in this match because in a promo leading up to it he wore an XFL jersey of He Hate Me and used that phrase in said promo whentalking about the other 3 guys.

Solid match on one of the best PPVs of all time. Even Stephanie vs. Trish is a good match
