I don't get if Eric Roberts is a great actor (Pope of Greenwich Village) or a terrible actor (Doctor who: the movie) little help? He's terribly great ?

Marlon Wayans in Requiem for a Dream. Watching him in that makes me mad every time I think about the bad comedies he has been in.

Adam Sandler in Click
Kinda funny that here we are calling Sander a bad actor, but that's the third time he's been cited in this thread for three different films. Maybe he's not so bad?

Adam Sandler's a lot like Tom Cruise; he's not a bad actor at all, he's just INCREDIBLY lazy and seems to do nothing but mary sue vanity projects that are always about the same interchangeable character.

Keanu Reeves in the Matrix. Specifically the first one. Thought he did a decent job in that.

I don't get if Eric Roberts is a great actor (Pope of Greenwich Village) or a terrible actor (Doctor who: the movie) little help? "They cuuuuuuut my f***in' thuuuuumb ooooooooooooff!!" Yeah, I can tolerate him, but he's pretty damn hammy. Both Pope of Greenwich Village and Runaway Train (both considered to be his 2 best movies) are great movies, but not because of him. A LOT of his early roles, he needed to turn the tone down by about half. Since he didn't, he quickly fell into obscurity a few years later. It's nice that he's had some roles since then and made kind of a comeback, and thankfully he isn't overacting as much. But no, he's not a great actor, he's a tolerable one if the movie is good. Keanu Reeves in the Matrix. Specifically the first one. Thought he did a decent job in that. He was also damn hilarious in Thumbsucker, basically playing himself as a dentist.

I think Angelina Jolie is terrible, but I loved her in Girl, Interrupted.

Can't believe some of the examples being thrown out here. Tom Cruise, Leonardio Di'Capiro and Angelina Jolie are all classed as bad actors? I also don't think people like Aniston and Sandler should be included. They might be poor Actors in general but we don't know that since they always play the same role. My additions: Ben McKenzie: Only really good in The O.C. They have him on Southland and he's pretty terrible there, I've heard his other roles have been poor performances as well. George Lazenby: To his credit he admits he can't act but did a very good Bond film I think. Hasn't had a believable acting performance in almost 45 years but is still trying to learn and give good performances. Respect. Mischa Barton: Just like Ben McKenzie, did okay as Marissa Cooper in The O.C but nothing good ever since. She's wrongly perceived as a bad actress, but Kristen Stewart has done loads of great work. People don't understand Kristen Stewart that's the issue. She has a dark look so most of the time she has to play the cold, unemotional and wooden character. That isn't her being a poor actress it's her playing the role as it should be played. She's great, most people haven't seen anything but Twilight though.
