(n) paranoid schizophrenia, paranoic type schizophrenia, paraphrenic schizophrenia, paraphrenia (a form of schizophrenia characterized by delusions (of persecution or grandeur or jealousy); symptoms may include anger and anxiety and aloofness and doubts about identity; unlike other types of schizophrenia the patients are usually presentable and (if delusions are not acted on) may function in an apparently normal manner.
Obviously they'll never come right out and mock the disease, but I fully feel that the above is what will be Deans ticket to stardom. At this point, to me, it makes absolute perfect sense for Ambrose to get the occasional squash. Everyone will see it but him, in his mind he will be the strongest member of The Shield...his losses are self-sacrifices for the good of the team...his wins are because he is so much better than the others. As Reigns and Rollins find solo success, Ambrose teeters closer to the edge. It culminates in him challenging the others for HIS title, his symbol for superiority. When he loses, likely to Reigns, mental explosion.

I've never liked Ambrose, and I didn't like The Dark Knight either. I'm not closed to any chance of him impressing me. I just don't see it happening.

Ambrose can't be the overrated weak link, as he doesn't exist. #thanksmick

I have said before that I hate his mic work. i can tell he can talk but I hate his voice. That being said though, the guy is solid in the ring. I have not seen him have a bad match yet. I don't think he is as good as Rollins but he can definitely go in the ring. So I don't hate the guy. I just don't care for his mic work and I would like for him to cut out the facial expressions he does at times. I do think he is a good wrestler though.

"Ambrose isn't that good" is becoming one of the recurring threads of this place. It's a great way to identify jive turkeys.

I don't see all the hoopla about Reigns, personally. This, forever this.

I like Reigns and Rollins but I don't think they're on Deans level. Rollins is a great WRESTLER *omg* but can't cut a promo. Reigns has the look and that awesome Superman punch. That's it. Ambrose is all around, great on the mic and can go in the ring. Once he's out of the Shield is when well see the real greatness come out. Also I didn't see Ambrose before WWE so none of that Indy darling crap, please. Thank you.

I was going to post this in the Rollins appreciation thread, but I feel like it is more pertinent here. For as much as we decry WWE for always trying to "find a Jannetty" we are guilty of it as well. Why does there have to be a weak link of the Shield? I'm willing to bet that the reason they were put together as a group by Triple H and Creative is because they want all three to be superstars.
All three have had blistering star-making moments as part of the six-man matches, and all three have had star-making performances on their own (Reigns being the winner at SS, Ambrose taking on the Undertaker by himself, and now Rollins v.s. Cena.) Can those people who want to say "_______________" is the weak link of the Shield just be open to the idea that we can have three bonafide stars for the future instead of one, or two? Isn't that better in the long run?
I think the reason for debate is because they all bring such different and compelling cases to the table. As someone said earlier, without Ambrose, the Shield on the mic would have probably flopped story-wise, without Reigns they would lose some legitimacy as his size and power are important to their beatdowns and saves them from being labeled as an "indy darling" stable, and without Rollins, there is no way their matches would have been as exciting and dramatic without his athleticism and selling.
So for everyone that pigeonholes Ambrose nothing more than "Ledger's Joker lol", Reigns nothing more "oh look another Spear from Rock's cousin lol" and Rollins as "indy darling with Kaitlyn's hair lol" I can practically guarantee you that important people in WWE thankfully don't think like you and are dead set on giving all three opportunities to be big stars.

Dean Ambrose is really, really good. And he's only 28 years old. When he's in his mid 30s, it will be scary how good he is.

I've never been impressed with the guy. I've only seen his WWE stuff. Ambrose and Wyatt are two guys that have been praised for their talking abilities but I don't see it. They sound corny and too forced to me. Maybe it's just the crappy dialogue they're given. I dunno. Put me down as one of those guys whose way more impressed with Reigns and Rollins.

I remember when he didn't exist. I still like Dean, I even called him schizophrenic in one thread because I have the disorder and he was showing some of the symptoms

He's quite good in just about every facet of 'rasslin. As he continues to improve, he should be a focus for a long time. Ambrose is a good'ern.

But seriously that dude is a major talent. His attention to detail on every aspect of his performance is whats gonna set him apart from the majority of the roster.

The sooner the Shield ends the better for Dean. It might take time, but Dean Ambrose will be a big deal in WWE. Punk and Bryan didn't get where they go overnight, but it happened for them and it will for him.
