I noticed a similarity between Alberto Del Rio and R-Truth. Both debuted with a once-interesting gimmick. They used that same gimmick for two and a half years before turning for the first time in their career. This allowed them to drastically alter their gimmick. But then, six months later, real-life events led to them turing back to the alignment they debuted in, and they have not turned again since, and likely won't be turning any time soon.
Both Del Rio and Truth, after turning back to their original alignment, kept aspects of their short-lived run into their new gimmick (R-Truth still being crazy, Del Rio's wealth being downplayed).

I kind of get what you're saying, but what are the real life events you speak of?

I kind of get what you're saying, but what are the real life events you speak of? Dolph getting hurt and R-Truth getting suspended

And if you take any random R-Truth appearance as a JTTS, he got a bigger pop during his entrance than every Alberto del Rio segment ever. Combined.

Heel R Truth was the most interested I'd been in WWE for a long time.
Face Del Rio was fresh and I still thinly he should be face, but he didn't hook me at all.
