So it seems two of the UFC's big three are going to be out indefinitely.

It's okay. He has seven more legs.
...Hhhmmm...
It comes to my attention that Anderson "Spider" Silva is, in fact, not an actual Spider. Recommence feeling all forms of non-apathetic reactions for him.

Damn it UFC, just have Anderson do the clean job and put over Weidman. I am tired of these screwy finishes that build to nothing. WCW 2000 all over again...

I like how Weidman went to check on him after the fight though. Also the cheap plug for his gym in Long Island

Sidenote: Between Tom Petty, being draped in the American flag, and having a red, white, and blue mouthguard, I have to assume Chris Weidman is a communist spy desperately trying to fit in.

It's like there's an elbow where his lower leg should be... O.O

Didn't like the smiling and photo and mass "yay" celebration from Weidman post-fight.
I mean, I don't like Weidman anyway, I hate patriotic bullshit and I hate a lack of personality but jeez man, smiling due to a lucky break (pun intended)? Nah.
I've seen a fair few leg breaks like that in my time, Eduardo & Alan Smith at Arsenal/Man U being most pressing but they just got Silva as a partner in the "dear god" area.

I like how Weidman went to check on him after the fight though. Also the cheap plug for his gym in Long Island Weidman running around the octagon with his hands in victory only to realize what happened and run over to Silva to check on him was pretty cool.

I did hear someone say "Chris, this isn't the time for that," but I don't know when because I was involuntarily screaming.

I did hear someone say "Chris, this isn't the time for that," but I don't know when because I was involuntarily screaming. That was Herb Dean telling him to let him be when he went over to thank him for the fight. Also, how bad is this break? Kevin Ware is trending on Twitter.

Sadly, Silva is done.
It would take about a year before he could even walk properly, then talk about getting back in fighting shape. He would be over 40 for sure before he could even think about a comeback.

Silva's done.
While that injury is on par with Big Nog getting his arm broken in half, it's thankfully not as bad as Kevin Ware's leg exploding.

He would be over 40 for sure before he could even think about a comeback. Kevin Ware came back in 12 months(the Louisville basketball player who broke his leg),and Steve Stamkos of the Tampa Bay Lighting broke his tibia, and was back walking in just a few weeks. In saying all that, is there any way his leg get's to 100%? Kicking was a small, yet important part of Silva's game, if it does not get to 100% again, there is just no way. Not only could he not throw kicks, but people will be kicking it in fights
