Could someone please explain to me what Steam is? I've read about it, but I don't really get it. Is it a program I use to run games? Is it free? Can I run it on a normal (Windows) computer? What else should I know? I bought a game, but I don't really know what to do with it. It is a program you download to buy games digitally. You can buy games through the service, connect with friends who have it, and play online with it. Think of it as a PC equivilent to the XBox or PS4 stores. You then have said games you've bought in your library, download them, and play them. If you delete them from your hard drive they are still connected to your account for later play if you wish.
