Am I the only one who thinks that these "Tribute to the Troops" shows are hokey? I mean, they seem to get the worst performers possible. Jeff Dunham? And didn't they have Gallagher once? No they didn't. They're harmless little shows for the troops. Who cares if it's alittle silly? It's just a PR stunt so the WWE can say that they support the troops like every other boot-licking organization out there. I'm being blunt here. Apologies in advance if anyone's offended.

It's sycophantic patriotism for the sake of it which either assumes nobody who isn't a member of the armed forces will be smart enough to work out how to watch this episode or that soldiers and other army men are too dense to work out how to watch the other 51 weeks of the year. This post incidentally was a harmless little tribute to victims of famine. Now credit me for it.

A tribute to yawning? USA! USA! USA! Your scepticism that we should be sceptical about a corporation's self-aggrandizing 'tribute' to the armed forces by so selflessly promoting itself, its talent, trademarks and core product on national television and intake of sponsorship, television and advertisement revenues - is duly noted.

They put on a free show for men and women who sacrifice their lives for our country. They also give free tickets to ANY active servicemen and women. They've flown the entire roster out to active warzones before in order to spend some time with guys on the front lines. You can say a lot of negative things about the WWE, but you can't seriously question their commitment to the troops.

Ahhhh the yearly time where someone actually finds a reason to complain about Tribute to the Troops
Further proof there is literally nothing in wrestling that can happen without someone hating it. The free house show for troops that they get to air on network tv that has no bearing on any past or future booking. IT IS ALL WRONG.

I think the acts they get are as generic as possible, but the matches are actually pretty good.
It ends up feeling like a house show, which means the matches are generally, longer, better and more fun overall than whats on Raw or SD.
