So Orton took the rap to keep Eugene out of trouble... yet we all know about it?

Regardless of its effect, weed is still an illegal drug. A publicly traded company with a history of Drug incidents encouraging that behavior would be an incredibly stupid thing to do. There's encouraging and there's turning a blind eye. It's only technically illegal, for most people it doesn't matter. You'd have to be uber righteous with your sobriety to even count it, really. It's just a more fun tobacco. 'Most people" does not include the shareholders, government, authorities, and media.

It could have caused problems with the arena, with any sponsors or important people backstage, with families and kids of wrestlers and important people walking around. It wasn't a moral thing, it was a gross lack of professionalism in a company that tries really hard to have a professional atmosphere (I believe this was around when they started pushing the dress code).

But if he's doing it before a match that's a problem. Why? It's Randy Orton, what's he going to do, fall asleep in a headlock? Or maybe the weed is the reason for many of his headlocks!

Haha, that's ballsy. I know wrestlers aren't the the cleanest living people around but to openly roll up a joint at your place of employment, knowing fully well how much your boss hates pot, is just nuts.

The thing is nobody on earth is up in arms about someone smoking weed. You must not have been on the internet when Swagger was busted for it.
