If I'm supposed to be happy about this, I'd like a reason as to why. Because it's another victory for rock music... somehow. It still made more money then the Metallica concert film. :/

who cares if we're ragging on some self-entitled little brat who probably doesn't give a shit what anyone thinks anyway? it's not like I'm wishing death on the guy. and i'm the same age as him so yeah. Because teen idol hatred as a whole is tiresome and overdone, at least to me. It's not like there isn't worse or equally as "manufactured" music in the underground.

I can get being annoyed by baseless attacks, but there's a bit of difference in doing that and trying to argue that someone hasn't done anything to deserve being chided or called out on.

At least for me, it's hating an ego-maniacal little punk. Didn't you hear about how he just left his pet in Belgium/Germany/somewhere in that general area? That's real shitty and he did nothing to make sure it was safe.

I like seeing things I hate fail. That's about it. It makes me a bad person, sure, but I don't care.

...so, wait, this is a real thing? He really had a movie come out?
That is a genuine surprise because they sure as hell didn't advertise the damn thing!

As douchey as the guy is, when you break into the music business as a teenager and youre met with being the butt of the worlds joke, even despite girls all throwing their underwear at you, its believable that you will turn into a bit of a prick. We did this to him when you think about it. The fans can stick it brotha!!

First here was the Jonas Brothers, then Bieber and now One Direction. Pre-teen girls are fickle.

I don't agree with "picking on him"worst because of the music he makes or even because of his demographic, but he absolutely deserves the criticism he gets as a human being. To be honest, what are these horrible things he's done? Hocked loogies on fans that clearly didn't mind one bit? A prank phone call? An awkward and somewhat inappropriate comment on Anne Frank? At worst he's a mild diva, but the way some of his detractors have gone after him on other boards, you'd think we were talking about an Ian Watkins-level scumbag. When your defense of a guy is "well, his fans didn't seem to mind being spat on by him!" you've gotta step back and realize that the criticism he gets isn't unfounded. And nobody is saying he's an "Ian Watkins-level scumbag", but I'm sure as hell not going to cut him a break because he's just a kid despite being like...20 by now. It's called calling a spade a spade.

Lets be honest the only movie most people would want to see is a sex tape with Selena Gomez more to see Selena naked. But they broke up.

I like the song "Never Say Never" and "As Long As You Love Me" led to a hilarious Nigahiga parody, but otherwise, Bieber has had no real effect on my life, one way or another.

The hell you say...
And here I thought that prissy goof was a creative genius.
Wah. Beebs is there specifically to make twelve year old girls to think about holding hands and kissing and shit. To expect this to have had some heat behind it is pretty ludicrous as is bashing it.
