It's the sort of thing you'd think the WWE would jump on.
I know WCW used to do WCW Live before Podcasting was even a thing, and WWF did Byte This as an Audio show before it moved to video.
If they could do it back then why are they not doing it now when the potential audience is alot bigger.
Hell they could do multiple podcasts, have a whole network of them like the Nerdist and Smodcast do.

It's the sort of thing you'd think the WWE would jump on. And they will. ...in 2030.

Vince just thinks podcasting is like what WWF Radio was.

I was thinking about this a few weeks ago. This is the type of thing they could bring Colt Cabana back for, pretty much have him do a WWE-centric AOW.

God, do you know how painstaking it would be for the writers to script an entire podcast ON TOP OF all the TV they produce? They're only human, y'know!

Vince McMahon is still getting used to this newfangled thing called the internet.
You got to give him time.

Please do not tell them about podcasting!
I do not want to be bombarded every 10 mins on RAW and SD with instructions on how to download and play the official WWE podcast from the official WWE app.

WWE is known for being behind the times.

Why do podcasts when you have tOUT and wwe app?
I also think Colt and Austin are doing a hell of a good job with theirs so I see no reason to even bother with an official wwe podcast.

1) because they don't see the money in it 2) because they're putting out over 12 hours of content every week (more if they have a PPV). 3 hrs Raw, 2 SD, 1 SS, 1 ME, 1 AM Raw, 3 recap shows, 1 hr Total Divas 3) Everyone who could feasibly be involved has better things to do. There's a reason Byte This was axed. 4) Combining the above results in it being a bad idea. 5) Colt Cabana is terrible.

I would love an official WWE podcast. Get someone like Kevin Eck to do an hour or two every week I would definitely listen to it. I use to listen to Smart Wrestling fan but they became way to negative I would really enjoy a regular podcast by someone who enjoys watching wrestling and talking about the WWE.

If it can make money, WWE will do it. They plugged Austin's show a couple weeks ago so I know they are paying attention. I wouldn't doubt at all that they have one in the works. I think Miz is a natural choice to throw into the podcasting foray. That or you get someone like Josh Matthews to host a weekly show where he interviews different superstars and various backstage personalities. I would listen to the hell out of that.

Podcasts are very difficult to quantify how much money can be made.

I don't like the idea of a WWE podcast because anything that could possibly make a character interesting will end up being relegated to it rather than on TV where it should be, same as the webshows.
Imo, there's no reason to do in WWE podcast unless it were hosted by one of the wrestlers AND WWE were to use that fact as a facet to develop the wrestler's onscreen persona.
