Which album was the biggest letdown for you this year? You don't necessarily have to had HATED it but it still managed to completely fail to live up to the hopes you had for it.
For me, without a doubt it is "Because the Internet" by Childish Gambino. I absolutely loved his last album "Camp" and this time he tried to go in a different direction and failed miserably. If I had never heard his other material, maybe I would have enjoyed this more but I know what he is capable of and I hesitate to call the album halfassed, it's somewhere between thirdassed and quarterassed. No wonder the label was so hesitant to put it out and he was so worried publically about it.....

Don't know if many people listen to him but Matthew Good's "Arrows of Desire" fits the bill for me. The single for it "Had it Coming" has to be one of my least favorite songs I've ever heard of his and the rest of the album, while not necessarily bad, just sounds way too familiar, not enough progression.

Beyonce TBH. With the album being a surprised and having filmed videos for all the songs, I was expecting it to be good like 4, but I find it to lack. I like about five or six songs on the album.

Magna Carta, Holy Grail. I love Jay-Z to death but this album was just dull, IMO. Holy Grail was the only song I liked.

Daft Punk's Random Access Memories. It's not up to par with their previous records and tries to go for this hypnotic-yet-commercial feel and it doesn't work.

Tomahawk: Oddfellows
You'd think adding Dunn might be amazing, but in fact what we got was a very flat album with no memorable tracks and a lot of shit that sounds like it was rejected from the first album. At least both Mit Gas and Anonymous were ambitious, even if they were radical departures. This thing? What a large leap backwards.

I was really looking forward to Lady Gaga's "Artpop", but I am left a little disappointed after having it for awhile. There's only three, maybe four songs that I enjoy & re-listen too: Aura, Applause, Do What U Want, & Mary Jane Holland. The rest, I really have no interest listening to again at all. Really disappointing.

30 Seconds to Mars - "Love, Lust, Faith, and Dreams". Their previous three albums are some of my favourites, and while "Up in the Air" is a fantastic song, the rest of the album didn't live up to my expectations.

Haven't listened to many albums this year but the worst 2 I bought were Daft Punk's and Bullet For My Valentine's. Daft Punk's was overhyped and inconsistent, Bullet's, bar a few tracks, just came off as lazy and basically like they were asking 'will this do'?

I wouldn't call it the most disappointing album of 2013 but being a big fan of Sick Puppies, their album Connect disappointed me so much. I enjoy all the heavy songs on it but more than half of the album is soft rock radio friendly shit that I just can't listen to or enjoy. It's a poor follow up to 2009's Tri-Polar which was entirely raw, heavy and rock-ish, despite having very meaningful songs they were still heavy and something enjoyable to listen to. Connect seemed like one of those albums that was meant to please the critics instead. Avenged Sevenfold's Hail To The King wasn't bad but it could have been so much better. Too many of the songs were homages to Metallica, Black Sabbath and Guns N Roses, I don't mind a tribute to the bands that inspired them but more songs that sound like actual A7X obviously would have been better. I think the album kinda shows that without The Rev, it seems that they might be losing their touch but I hope not.

"Art Pop" was probably the most disappointing for me. There were a few good songs on there, but most of them smacked of trying too hard.
