I'd go with Peal Jam - Lightning Bolt. I've still clung to Pearl Jam over the years, but even I have to admit that this album was boring as hell.

Don t get me started with this album. Did you guys know that Jay-Z has a baby and likes Basquiat? This may be the first time listening to a Jay albmu was a chore. I mean the production saved and replay value. And for a man at his age he is insulting my intelligence. But it's more like I see through his bullshit. A walking billboard for European dillholes. I can't look pass his bs to enjoy his music.

Their last few albums have all taken me a while to admit I don't like them as much as I wish I did but this one brought me to that conclusion a lot faster, nothing much about this album moved me at all.

Fall Out Boy - Save Rock & Roll
There are a couple of good songs on this one, but for the most part, I just thought it was really boring. They've always been a pop band, but this just strayed quite a bit too far in the direction of the same kind of pop everyone else is putting out. I was stoked to hear they got back together, but this was not what I wanted, for sure.

Daft Punk's Random Access Memories. It's not up to par with their previous records and tries to go for this hypnotic-yet-commercial feel and it doesn't work. I dislike that it was mostly big-name pop collabs. Homework is a better disco album than RAM was, and the whole point of RAM was supposed to be a disco sound. That's the irony of it all. They hyped up bringing in Giorgio Moroder under some pretense that they were back to their roots but...their first album was the closest they got. How much does the album blow? I've never heard any other song than "Get Lucky" on the radio. Homework, Discovery, Robot Rock? Oh no. Not the case at all.

Plus Halestorm's cover of "Get Lucky" from their recent covers EP was infinitely better than the original, in my opinion.

Y'know, I think I would've liked Yeezus a lot more if Kanye didn't make it seem like the most important album ever. I mean, Black Skinhead is an awesome song, but I always spend more time thinking "This is supposed to be amazing so why am I not enjoying it" than anything else whenever I listen to any songs from it.

20/20 Experience part 2. The first album was amazing but this just seemed like leftovers. Didn't need to be a full album. First JT solo miss IMO.

You know, I can't really say I was really too disappointed by any album I heard this year... pretty much everything was either as good (or bad, or whatever varying degree in between)or better than I had expected.
I'll hit upon a few I see brought up, both here and elsewhere (mainly my primary music festival forum), and give my reasoning for not being disappointed, so to speak:
Kanye West - Yeezus (I've never been a huge Kanye fan, but I can definitely see his talent as a producer. I think he gets better and better with every succeeding album in the field of mix and production, as well as track composition. However, I still think he's a merely average actual rapper and a poor lyricist. All that said, Yeezus is my favorite of his albums so far, mostly because of how superb I think the non vocal qualities of the album are. One of my favorite hip hop records of the year, albeit in a year I've not listened to too terribly much rap and hip hop.)
My Blood Valentine - MBV (I didn't expect a new Loveless, but that's not what I got either. It was actually better than I expected, and definitely in my top 20 albums of last year.)
Daft Punk - Random Access Memories (In short, I find Daft Punk to be one of the most overrated electronic acts of all time, so I was not expecting much from this. I guess it was actually a little worse than I expected, but not too terribly much.)

I had high hopes for Filter's The Sun comes out Tonight.
But overall I just couldn't find myself getting into it.
We Hate it when you get what you want is a great track but everything else just doesn't do it for me.

I only bought a few new albums this year. most of what I picked up was older stuff. I did get the new Cattle Decapitation and Fleshgod Apocalypse albums, but those were both really good. ditto the Chino Moreno/ISIS collaboration Palms.

Yeezus by a mile. Considering MBDTF is my favorite album of all time, I had high hopes. I thought maybe multiple listens would help. Nope, the album still sucks.
MMLP2, however, I was prepared to hate and wasn't too impressed upon first listen. But after multiple play throughs, I love the album and its now on constant repeat in my car.
