OK, with how Brock Lesnar's return says he's a Number 1 Contender in his opinion, and with how we know Batista is coming back and his history with wanting titles...
Am I the only one seeing Batista interrupting Lesnar one week so they have a staredown?

I'm imagining Brock winning the title at the Elimination Chamber and dropping it to the Rumble winner at 'Mania. Which probably won't be Batista.

So long as it looks nothing like the Brock/Goldberg match back when, I'd be ok with it.

I instantly assumed Brock vs Batista when his music hit. I feel that Brock may take the title at EC, then Batista could win the Rumble.
Not that I want any of this to happen. I could just see it happening.

The Undertaker competes as a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble, only to be cheap shot eliminated by Brock. At the Elimination Chamber, The Undertaker pulls a "1996 Diesel", where he busts through the canvas and pulls Lesnar down with him. WrestleMania is set. BAM.

Batista / Lesnar for the strap at Mania would be awesome. I'm in.

I could see Punk winning the Rumble, Lesnar winning at EC and them having a rematch at Mania.

Batista would look like such a joke going against Lesnar. I hope not.

It is definitely a possibility. The only thing I have not worked out is if Lesnar is winning the title at Elimination Chamber, then what will the Elimination Chamber match be for, as Brock was talking one on one with Cena or Orton.
Also, it would have to be Cena if it was one on one I would imagine, as heel v heel is unlikely. That would mean two very quick title changes which I am unsure of.
So my thought is Brock is either in the Rumble or Chamber match and they set up whoever his opponent will be through that.
Batista, Punk or Undertaker are the front runners as it would appear Rock definitely aint happening.

I'll say he ends up against Punk, solely because the Punk/Paul E. Feud can never end.

I don't like how they handled either guys return, instead of having Brock return on raw- he should have returned as a surprise entrant in the rumble eliminate everyone in the ring and then I walk alone hits as Batista comes out as a surprise , now that would have been an awesome moment

I can see it now:
Lesnar cuts another promo on being the No. 1 contender. Out comes Batista, cutting a face promo about how "you can't just demand a title shot, you have to EARN it!". Universe implodes, since it can't handle the irony.

I was interested in Brock vs. Batista ten years ago, but I'm not sure how that can work now. Brock's first run is basically forgotten and they just present him as "That UFC Guy in WWE". They're not going to push Batista as the "underdog" the way they did with Cena, Punk, and even HHH. It would look laughable if WWE tried to present Batista as "equals" with Brock now.

The upsides are no one will talk about either one of them beating a younger and more deserving wrestler at Mania and this is a dream match.

The upsides are no one will talk about either one of them beating a younger and more deserving wrestler at Mania and this is a dream match. Both of them should be PUTTING OVER a younger, more deserving wrestler at Mania. Wrestlemania is a showcase for the elite superstars and wrestlers who are on the cusp of breaking out. Using Brock and Dave for a charity case for guys like Miz, Kofi, and Ziggler doesn't no one any good. Now if Ziggler is building a hot streak leading to Mania, cool give him a shot against them. But if they are still maintaining status quo, don't waste the time.
