Hopefully this will mirror CM Punks "heel" turn in ECW

Just a smartass question: How long do we have to wait-and-see before we are allowed to deem it a crap angle?

What I learned tonight, according to FAN: When WWE has predictable storylines, the company is shit. When WWE has unpredictable storylines, the company is REALLY shit. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. How is Bryan joining the Wyatts unpredictable? It's been teased since November. Yeah but did you actually think he would? I sure didn't. I thought it would be the usual "no I won't join!" then he kicks their asses and moves on.

I didn't realize it was obvious that he would inevitably join the Wyatts. Um, my bad?

The more I think about it the more I love it. They did a great job over the course of the night showing Bryan's feud with the Wyatts, him getting his ass beat at every turn. he even said "it doesn't matter how many matches I won or that the fans chanted yes in every building". He's done the very best anybody could for this whole year, and he keeps getting beat up and f***ed over and not getting what he deserves, and he's sick of it. The beating the Wyatts gave him tonight really sold it too, I was feeling bad for the guy even though I know it's fake. That was some of the most compelling storytelling I've ever seen on a wrestling show. It's not wait and see, it's don't f*** it up. There's a difference. I agree. The strength of the reaction from the crowd and even here on FAN is proof of just how great this is. It was honestly a classic Hulkamania style moment; the audience was all but pleading with Bryan not to side with the Family, which shows just how involved in this they are. If it were really such a bad idea people would be totally apathetic, instead they are practically on fire.

I think it's pretty telling of my overall disinterest in WWE over the course of this year is that they can do something that on paper is dumb as hell, and I just don't care.

The scary thing is, I keep thinking that there is no way WWE would turn a white-hot babyface like Bryan. Know what pops into my head then? Yeah, I ain't forgot that shit.

Weren't we all assured that the Authority Angle would somehow lead to something with Daniel Bryan getting his revenge? How long do we have to wait, then? The WWE is too shortsighted to book some angle with Bryan back in August, and having it end 9 months later at Wrestlemania, and even if they did try it, they're too fickle to actually follow up with it.
He's not even my favorite or anything, but the guy without question is one of the most over guys on the roster. There's no disputing it whatsoever. But WWE thinks its their job to pick who we like. No one gives a shit about Big Show. No one gives a shit about Orton/Cena 9032042304239. But ALL the focus has to be redirected from Daniel Bryan to those utterly boring characters, time and time again. It's ridiculous...

I'm just gonna say I was honestly captivated. That was the best thing I've seen Raw end with in years and I'm genuinely curious to see where it goes. Even my wife who couldn't give two shits was drawn in. To me this is one case where wait and see holds true.

If there's one hope I have about this angle, it's that it leads to the death of Daniel Bryan's beard.

My whole issue is this.
Replace Bryan with Cena in this storyline. Does ANYONE earnestly believe they would have Cena basically give up and concede to the heels like Bryan did? How about CM Punk? Hell, even Sheamus?
They literally took their most popular guy with live audiences and made him look essentially like he's a quitter. That he would rather join a stable of bad guys than continue to fight. Sure, he'll end up breaking through, but it's certainly possible there's potential damage being done by him just admitting defeat the way he did.

I didn't watch, and I'm very glad for that hearing this, but I'm inclined to think they're genuinely turning him. If anything, I'd say they probably meant to turn him heel months ago back when he was attacking people left and right and talking about being the weak link and all that, but Cena's injury and Punk being penciled in to face Lesnar caused them to push it back. Now with Batista back and Cena healed up, they probably decided, f*** it, it'd be a convenient way to get him out of the way.

I'm not sure what I'm feeling right now. If I had to describe it, confusion, mixed with intrigue and paranoia. I'm glad that Bryan didn't turn heel in the process and seemed to join if only to get help to get one over on the machine. The thing is I'm not completely sure Bray is thinking the same thing, I still think the Wyatts and the Authority are connected in some way and Bray is ultimately trying to distract Bryan from getting in the way of what's best for business. The ultimate pay-off seems likely to be Bryan/Wyatt but I have no idea how they get to that which has me interested but I'm scared that this is Bryans Mania storyline and will be running for a few more months.

To me this just seemed like a way to get heat on the Wyatts before mania time and set up the final match down the line to end this feud. This angle can easily fill 3-4 weeks of tv before the turn back.

I know this is going to sound condescending. I am not attempting to troll you by saying this either.
People here are getting worked and they don't like it one bit.
You should WANT to be worked.
I know I'm being worked. Know why? I don't know what's going to happen. That's good!
