No wonder Prim Hemline sounded like Rainbow Dash doing a Rarity... Because it WAS Rainbow Dash doing a Rarity.

Rainbow thread...
Rainbow power anyone?
Anyway, nice little episode. New unredeemed villain. Two songs. More wet mane Rarity.
Great stuff.

I... Think I'm going with a 5. I found that one really bland and forgettable, and Rarity was pretty unlikable throughout it. Not very good songs either.

I'm going with an 8 for now but I reserve the right to change my mind. Season 4 continues to be great

Oh, and GreyScaleLJH? Your mane tonight is...the one who quit working for Rarity's rival whose name escapes me at the moment.

You know, guys.... I think we're being TOO literal on this "Keys" thing. The opportunities for each character to grow as we go through the episodes (and the rewards they've gotten so far) are what all these "Keys" could be. RD getting a handle on her impulsiveness (and something else toward her loyalty in a later episode) Rarity sacrificing a future for a stranger. Fluttershy adding to her already solidifying backbone. Spike being shown value to the team (even if he isn't an Element- no sense giving Twilight anything else ) Pinkie learning more about her past and how to handle others who are "into" what she does. Character development is magic

Yeah, it's a 10. Both for bias, and because it was a great example of solid character writing. Rarity's generosity almost cost her victory, she lost sight of it, and in the end learns a valuable lesson while still winning.
Plus, love the songs.

for the ep - falling between 6 and 7 so I'll give it a 7.
Pros: -Manehatten's parallels to the real "Big Apple" and some very accurate depictions of the populance -Prim Hemline (Devil wears Prada)... I also thought of one of the judges of "Chopped" for some reason -song was lovely -RARITY DRAMA -Cameos galore at the fashion show
Cons: -Rarity's generosity to a new character whose name we only heard once in the episode and promptly forgot -Another Rarity generosity inversion plus her friends showing their generosity (Shouldn't Rarity KNOW something about the pressure cooker of the Manehatten fashion scene since she's dealt with Hoity Toity directly and put Fluttershy through Photo Finish's wringer in "Green isn't your color"?) -No Apples/Oranges references? (nitpicky, I know)

The pattern I'm getting from the scores so far indicate, while there hasn't been a unanimously beloved episode yet this season, they've all been scoring consistently good, with the exception of Daring Don't and, to an extent, Castle Mane-ia.
