By now The Baseball Writers Association of America have all sent in their Hall of Fame ballots and controversy will probably follow. But I thought we at the FAN should have our say.
The rules are the same as the rules for the BBWAA. You can vote for up to 10 of the players listed here. Any player who gets 75% of the vote gets in. If for some reason you don't think any of the players are worthy then there is a blank ballot option but if you click it you can't vote for anybody else.
Voting will close and the winners will be announced on Jan 7, 2014 one day before the Hall of Fame announces it's results.
So let's see if we're better at this than the BBWAA.

This one was easy for me. But seeing as how you can make the argument for there to be asterisks on a LARGE portion of the existing Hall Of Fame, I tend to be somewhat lenient. Honest I think I could add some of the PED guys, but their behavior in regards to the allegations is what keeps me from selecting them more than anything else.
And f*** it, Piazza is in for me.

Not sure if we're supposed to hide our picks, but since a bunch of the BBWAA leaks their ballot...
Jeff Bagwell Craig Biggio Barry Bonds Roger Clemens Greg Maddux Edgar Martinez Mike Mussina Mike Piazza Curt Schilling Frank Thomas
I'd like to put in Glavine, Raines, Trammell and MAYBE McGwire (borderline-y).

Glavine, Maddux and Thomas are first balloters in my opinion. Would like to see Smith and Schilling in there as well.

Maddux, Glavine, Trammell, Raines, Piazza, Biggio, Bagwell, Thomas, Mussina, Schilling.
Very easy to vote for 10 legit candidates.
Also, if Jack Morris wins election, I will rip out my scrotum. He belongs NOWHERE near the HOF. Schilling and Mussina were much better. Hell, Dave Stieb was better.

I still think Dave Stewart should go in.
You can also make a case for Terry Steinbach. More so than J.T. Snow.

Just put Maddux, Thomas & Glavine in automatically, and vote on the other guys. Bagwell, Biggio & Raines also should get in.
The rest, I just can't put a vote behind. They're the very best of the pretty good, but I just can't vote Mattingly, Smith, Morris or Mussina.

Biggio (3000 hits, solid stats) Glavine (300 wins, 5 20+ wins seasons) Maddux (300 wins, 17 straight 15+ wins seasons) Mussina (270 wins, good win pct., good ERA for AL standards)
I didn't add anyone else because of PED issues. Just not sure on Thomas and Bagwell. Definitely no on McGwire and Bonds.

The only thing with Piazza is that he has back acne, which could easily be a genetic thing and is not an explanation for some hormone being taken. Taking guys off for these dumb sleights make absolutely no sense, I'm sorry. And I don't understand leaving arguably the best pitcher and best hitter of all time, either, especially since people have been injecting crap into their bodies since the dawn of time for baseball.

Bonds and Clemens are the 2 greatest players of their era if they are kept out of the Hall then every spitball pitcher or player who used greenies should retroactively be removed.

Jeff Bagwell Craig Biggio Tom Glavine Greg Maddux Edgar Martínez Mike Piazza Frank Thomas
I can't bring myself to vote for confirmed cheaters. As for Thomas and Bagwell, there's no evidence that they did anything and I will give them the benefit of the doubt. Both are excellent players and worthy of the Hall of Fame. Biggio, Glavine, Maddux are super obvious Hall of Famers. Martinez, Piazza should already be in. This would be my ballot if I had a vote.
