OK....what the hell was that? It was like Moffat and Gatniss have spent the past two years reading tumblr and decided to do a live-action version of some goth chick's blog.
MOLLY/SHERlOCK KISS? Check. MORIARTY/SHERLOCK ALMOST KISS? Check. HINT JOHN AND SHERLOCK ARE GAY? Check. CONTINUALLY POINT OUT HOW HOT SHERLOCK IS IN CASE WE SOMEHOW FORGET? Check.
Seriously, that may be the first show I've ever watched that felt like it was made solely to create loads of cool and funny Gifs out of. Not to mention the total lack of anything resembling a real plot.
Say what you want about Elementary, but at least it's not a parody of itself.
The whole episode was just surreal. And not "good surreal" like it used to be.

Also: they totally ripped off that fall solution from Jonathan Creek.

Brit tv for some reason has this smug attention atm. There is very little that is actually any good. People just like it cause it's a fad right now. Shows like Sherlock and Dr Who are the most overrated and exhausting shows I have tried to watch. I liked the mighty Boosh and that's about it. Doesn't help that they film of video and cheap cam corders and shit either.

Brit TV is good. But not when you've got Steven Moffat trolling fans and patting himself on the back over how great his shows are.
That whole episode...jaw-dropping self-indulgence.

Other than the Mighty Boosh I have yet to find a brit tv show that was any good to me. I hate the production values most of all.

You are more than likely watching BBC produced shows which are paid for through taxes so they don't have as much money as say Sky or ITV however they still produce by far the best British tv shows compared to the rest. Channel 4 has the occasional bright spot.

A lot of people thought it fell apart in the last two seasons, but MISFITS was, handsdown one of my favorite shows to come out of England.
Also, Fresh Meat is damn funny.

I liked it but as an episode it felt disjointed. I imagine it wil pick up for the other two.

Doing the fake death episode was stupid to begin with. Even in the original short stories the author pulled it literally out of his ass. He wanted to kil off Holmes because he was done with the series, then he brought him back with a stupid solution because he needed the money and none of his other works ever sold well.
That's basically Sherlock's problem in a nutshell, they just do the original stories, update them on the surface but don't actually put any meaningful or interesting twists on them. You can't do that with a modern TV show, it's been over a hundred years after the fact so for God's sake be a little creative.
also they REALLY need to stop pushing Benedict Cumberbatch of all people as some sort of sex symbol. Dude looks like Gollum post-rehab.

I'm pretty sure we had a thread about this about a week ago, but I'll repeat my answer: Father Ted, IT Crowd, Black Books, Misfits and maybe the Inbetweeners.

Also, I know different strokes for different folks, but how the hell do people find Benidict Cumberbatch attractive? He looks like a Preying Mantis, or a rat that's been smacked with a shovel.
