I can't be the only one, I'm good at stuff like English and History but even at college I'm still completely abysmal with mathematics, does anyone else hate it as much as I do?

I was horrible at maths at school so yes I'm with you. Couldn't stand science either. I also didn't like geography but thankfully I love it now. My fav subjects were history & P.E.

Math kept me from following my dream of becoming an astronaut.

Why choose to take it then? Not like it's forced upon you like in High School.
Anyway, I hated it for the first couple of years of High School, but then we got a different teacher and I embraced it, shot up from the second lowest class to the second highest.
Have a bit of rust every now and then for stuff like ratios and times tables, but additions and things in regards to money are a breeze.

Let me just say this...there is a reason why I want to be an actor.
In other words, I suck at math as well.

Actually I didn't choose to take it, in my college you need a C grade to stop doing maths and I haven't achieved that yet, however I didn't have to do English because I already passed it.

I'm not a mark, but math has a certain charm.
I like it's rigidity. Until you start getting deep, it's just about using the right form to get to one possible destination. It's not subjective like writing.

I'm like the Sheldon Cooper and Rain Man of Math. I've also got a lot of Paulie from Rocky in me so am a lazy bum and don't apply it.

Math is boring to me. Yet I am very naturally gifted at it(case in point, I barely gave any effort in the math class I took in college and still got an 84 in the class......).

I'm awful at math and hate it with a passion. After I graduated High School I made a vow to never take another math class in my life.

I'm okay with the maths. I'm even okay with the really ridiculous parts that nobody ever uses unless you have a highly specialized career.
You've got a lot of shitty people teaching the maths that shouldn't be teaching it though and I think that's the main reason why it gets such a horrible reputation. It just gets exacerbated the higher you get and the less useful they seem to your everyday life.
Ugh, I could do a couple of posts on the comparatively useless shit we're required to learn in US schools...

I hate how you people call it "Maths" To be fair, that is the grammatically correct way to say it. Calling it Math is like saying the technical word for the class is "Mathematic" instead of Mathematics. It seems to be more of a European thing, but yeah, "Maths" is the correct way of saying it.

It just doesn't roll off the tongue as well as just math. Saying maths makes it sound like you got a lisp. Unless you corrupt the saying and say it closer to "mats".

I thought you meant you'd gone on to do it at A-Level. I was in your shoes as well, 2 marks under the C first time around, when it came back around I got a B, which I was exceedingly proud of.
