The Rock is talented enough to pull it off. Rock has had way more hits than misses in terms of movies, so I have faith that he can pretty much do anything at this point.

Someone brought up the idea of him playing Lex Luthor and now I won't settle for anything less. Still, this Batman/Superman movie just keeps looking worse and worse. Oh Zod, a bald Rock would look nearly identical to the DCAU Luthor!

That was the rumor earlier in the week. I really can't see Rock as manipulating genius though.

I think Erik King would make a good John Stewart
Dwayne Johnson to me is Black Adam, Mainly for 2 reasons
1) I think he'll be great as him 2) I want a Shazam movie dammit

in all honesty, he'd be much better suited to being Guy Gardner. sure, he's not a ginger, but watch one of his Attitude Era promos and tell me it doesn't remind you of Guy.

When this movie sucks its not going to be Afflecks fault, its going to Snyder and Goyer stuffing 10 pounds of shit in a five pound bag this is just basically New 52 the movie at this point and unless we get a fantastic portrayal of Batwoman or Static at this point i'm over all this shit nah if it was the New 52 movie it'd be Hal and they'd be ignoring pretty much every Lantern who wasn't him.

Isnt the New 52 Cyborg older, and has never even been a Titan? I dropped DC after the most recent reboot, so I don't know. But if I do know anything it's that movies execs don't give a crap about source material if they think they have a better idea. when it comes to the Titans, DC can't keep anything straight. you have various Batman characters (ostly Nightwing and Starfire) talking about their past teaming up with Cyborg and others, but at the same time Raven and Beast Boy are new characters who debuted after the first 5 years, Garth/Aqualad 1 is a BABY now, Wally and Donna obviously don't exist because Didio hates them, and they can't even keep straight about the various Robins' tenures (and now they're killing off Superboy and replacing him with a bad guy, which is why Scott Lobdell quit both Titans and Superboy). Cyborg's presented as being in his early 20s and far-and-away the youngest Leaguer, and it's implied he hung out with Nightwing but to hell if anyone can keep it straight. the Titans are to the new 52 what the Legion of Superheroes were to Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Just wait until they reboot again to fit the movies into the comics

Lay off the New52 dammit It's not that bad. Okay we have too much Batman right now but everything else is pretty damn good. It had a rough start but I think it's settled into place. nah if it was the New 52 movie it'd be Hal and they'd be ignoring pretty much every Lantern who wasn't him. Now Johns is away from GL he's not "Mr AWESOME" anymore. Since "First Lantern" all the others have been well treated - Hal has "Green Lantern" - Kyle has "New Guardians" - Jon has "Corps" - Guy has "Red Lanterns" All of which are damn good

Okay Teen Titans is a mess (Lobdell is ALL wrong for it) and Legion I never read.
Given all the Writer re shuffles DC have had I'm surprised Lobdell hasn't been ousted as writer of it.

Should the Rock be a GL after disrespecting the green mask time and time again in his feud with "the Hamburglar"?
I still say here getting the VA wouldn't be too much of a stretch, Phil LaMarr could pull it off in live action easier than, say, Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy.

I can understand Donna Troy's absence, given how her origin was a clustersmurf anyway.

I can understand Donna Troy's absence, given how her origin was a clustersmurf anyway. it wasn't until John Byrne decided it was. kinda like how Scarlet Witch wasn't a batshit crazy reality warper who could do anything the writer needed her to do until Brian Bendis decided she was.

I never really cared much for Hal or John, to be honest. Kyle and Guy were the more interesting Lanterns.
