I never really cared much for Hal or John, to be honest. Kyle and Guy were the more interesting Lanterns. I like Hal when Geoff Johns is writing him and I like John in the cartoon, but Kyle and Guy are both way more interesting. so of course, they're the ones DC marginalizes.

Same deal with Barry Allen, he is inferior to Wally to me.

Wally is so much greater than Barry it's ridiculous. Barry's shining moment came in death. He had the greatest possible send-off any comic hero can have, and then they just shit on that cuz DC decided they had to go back to the Silver Age with him, despite the fact that Wally had been Flash for longer at that point.
To hell with New 52. And I know they brought back Barry in Final Crisis, but even so.
Of course, original Alan Scott is my favorite GL, then Kyle, with Hal coming in a distant third, so take that for what it is.

The problem with Hal and Barry is that they were designed to be Silver Age arch-types, not fully realized characters in the modern sense. If you keep them as Silver Age arch-types then they're just not interesting to a modern audience, if you try to give them more depth it comes off forced. Really their best roles this day and age are dead heroes that the new generation strives to live up to their ideals (or in Hal's case, live down his infamy).

Honestly if the rock got the role then it would some seriously lazy and terrible casting and it be would weird seeing GL being twice the size of superman
Though after looking at that fake poser I would agree that Idris Elba would be f***ing boss as John Stewart.

Ya, didn't really like Flash til the smartass Wally West version. Plus Barry Allen dying was such a big deal when it happened that I hate that they went back on it.

Can't they make him Cyborg? I think everyone is overlooking Cyborg because a lot of fans are out of touch with modern comics. With Cyborg now being a founding member of the Justice League in the New 52, I think Rock would be an excellent choice to bring that character to the table. I also know that if you're going to do the birth of the Justice League, it'd be just plain wrong to use any GL other than Hal Jordan. Yeah, the last movie sucked, but recast him and move on. You wouldn't have used Rhodey as Iron Man or Kate Bishop as Hawkeye in the very first Avengers film.

I am mad at the New 52 because, every time they are going to do a traditional Firestorm book, they change EVERYTHING. First we thought Ronnie would go solo, then they killed him and replaced him with Jason (which didn't turn out THAT bad...). Then I was looking forward to a Ronnie w/Jason in Prof. Stein's role after Brightest Day, then the Poo 52 comes. Again it wasn't THAT bad, but I am waiting for my Firestorm rooted in the 70s-90s continuity.
Just by looking at the Nineties-fied costumes turned me off of N52 aside from my obligation to follow everything Firestorm. (I mean, Superman needs armor?!!? The lack of logic there astounds me.) And my other favorite makeover....Jokerface: Gotham City Massacre Part III.
