Watching RPM on Kix lately, Tenaya 7 (Venjix human infiltration attack bot. Your thoughts & minds. Mankind's subconscious being...) might be my pick for "hottest Power Rangers villainess"
Also, Dr K is up there in terms of mentors that entertain me. I think it's between her social awkwardness and RJ clearly being f***ing BAKED, and sometimes using the Mr Miyagi method of training.*
So far into RPM, I love the individual origin episodes, and how they tie everything into what you saw of the Rangers in episode 1, stuff like Summer going back out into the wasteland to bring Scott back into Corinth. The second part of the "Ranger Yellow" 2-parter was on today.
On the subject of RJ - More purple rangers, please! From what I know about Dino Charge's source material, there will be a purple one, but they don't do it often enough, the Jungle Fury Wolf Ranger suit looks badass.

I've been watching RPM on Netflix and there are times that I honestly forget I'm watching a Saturday morning kids show. Hell they have actual on screen human death.

![](http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb158/lightboyishere/reunion.jpg) So much awesomeness in one photo, I pretty much loved all the series here and Johnny Yong Bosch hasn't aged a bit, it was so good to see 'Plan Xander' in action and it was awesome to see Bridge as the Red Ranger, I'm guessing because Sky's actor was probably on other projects or something but despite what everyone says about Operation Overdrive, I don't think it's the worst PR series, the villains and the Once A Ranger team-up are the highlights. It's also weird seeing Tori and Miratrix brawl with each-other because the actresses are on a show called Shortland Street and the characters they play are in a same sex relationship, so it's like domestic abuse before they even got together. Also in the same series Sally Martin (Tori's actress) character married...herself (I'm not kidding) and appeared to be a creepy stalker to another female in the series, now every-time I see Once A Ranger I think that Tori's going to send Miratrix the heart of one of the Operation Overdrive Rangers or stalking her outside of Kamdor's cave.

On the subject of Operation Overdrive, I've started watching Boukenger (The Sentai OO was based on) and learned that apparently Miratrix was actually a composite of two characters from the ninja faction in the original series. Shizuka of the Wind - A bratty ninja with a penchant for disguise. powerrangers.wikia.com/wiki/Shizuka_of_the_Wind And Gekkou of Illusions - The leader of the Dark Shadow ninja clan and demonic talking owl. powerrangers.wikia.com/wiki/Gekkou_of_IllusionsWhich would partly explain the giant bird transformation in Operation Overdrive. As to why the writers decided that such a character combination would be a good idea? I dunno, I guess that was the due to the fact it was the Kalish era where the motto of the day was "We want to keep things as close to the sentai as possible, but we want to change a lot of things so we're not totally doing a retread." Or maybe drugs as was hypothesized earlier on in the thread.

I would say Kamdor had more in common with Gekkou than Miratrix did, since Kamdor was undoubtedly the leader, and did the monster growing, on top of his general battle stuff.
Miratrix turned into Gekkou's giant monster form, which was a bit random, but not the first time something weird like that has happened, and I can promise won't be the last.

I thought it was a bit random, although seeing Ria Vandervis chew the scenery with her lines while holding the chalice was awesome, Power Rangers needs more over the top hamminess in my opinion. But I don't see how, in the sense of the story, Kamdor thought that Miratrix had failed him because all in all, she'd been a very competent henchwoman for him, so him basically saying 'You have failed me time and time again' was a bit odd considering similar things has happened and he didn't show her the door so to speak, although the scene where Kamdor betrays Miratrix actually made me feel sympathetic towards her even though we know she was a dangerous character and an equal to Kamdor. When you think about it, it's hard not to feel sorry for her, she's worked her tail off to get Kamdor out of the crystal, she served him with undying loyally (I would have a hard time constantly calling Kamdor 'master') and did what was asked of her, only for Kamdor to basically fire her, and the sealing her in a crystal after she struck out on her own, I would've liked to have seen them come back for other series like RPM or something, like Bulk and Skull used to do.

Ugh.
Anyone that defended the use of Dairanger in Super Megaforce, just try and defend THIS:
Gia inexplicably morphs into Yellow Mask, Emma into Pink Flash, WITH NO GODDAMN EXPLANATION.
I'd just about made peace with Dairanger as there was an explanation that could have been used to tie it with the White Ranger powers, and the Thunderzords. There were still some ties between Dairanger and Power Rangers.
There are none to be found with Hikari Sentai Maskman or Choushinsei Flashman.
I'm not a Sentai snob, so this isn't a case of someone going "OMG THEY'RE RUINING MY BELOVED GOKAIGER!!!". But (Super) Megaforce is supposed to be a celebration of 20 years of Power Rangers, not 35 years of Super Sentai.
Saban and Jonathan Tzachor just hit new heights of laziness. Disney would have been willing to shoot a bit more original footage, rather than this mess.

Well Dino Thunder was the first season to acknowledge Power Ranger's Sentai roots (IE the episode "Lost and Found in Translation"), so those kind of Easter eggs make sense. If they go there it can also lends some credence to the theory that Tommy is involved in the entire "Ranger Key" plan.

]Am I crazy or is that the red Operation Overdrive ranger? You are not crazy, Troy uses the OO Red key early on in the clip. He also uses the Ryuuranger - sorry- "New Powers" key and Ninja Storm. Yeah, the Dino Thunder thing's been pointed out already, that was just a nice little "Easter Egg"

That's pretty cool, thought it was a pretty under-rated series but in what context is it used? Pretty much as a tool just like the other powers that they use in the show. 5 of the Ninja Storm suits have been seen in Super Megaforce so far (Green Samurai hasn't yet, but I suspect he might once Orion is in the picture) Unless there's a surprise that has yet to be revealed, I doubt there will be a return of any of the actual Ninja Storm team. Hurricaneger actually got a 2-part tribute episode in Gokaiger that actually brought back all 3 core members and had them team up with the Gokaigers (Ninjas & Pirates!!!), rather than the usual tribute of one ex-member meeting the Gokaigers, and the Gokaigers changing into that team, complete with morphing sequences and theme music. Talking of returning cast members, I think this is another area that Disney would have made the extra effort, getting more past faces to show up. We could have got, say, Bridge turning up to give the Super Megaforce Rangers the Delta Runner to form the Legendary SPD Megazord.

In less ranty news: Austin St John at Florida Supercon? He's been really quiet in recent years, pretty much disappearing from the public eye since 2007, and hasn't played Jason Lee Scott since 2003's "Forever Red" - allegedly people at Saban tried to get in touch with him about returning in Super Megaforce, but no one knew how to get hold of him. This is rather unexpected. Let the "Jason returning in Super Megaforce/Dino Charge" rumours begin here!
