My computer occasionally tells me about Java updates even though my laptops working fine and I can still go on the sites I normally go on, but when-ever I give in and try to install it, it says that it could harm my laptop, now I may seem paranoid but if there is any chance of that I won't do it because it costs quite a bit to get repaired, it's not effecting me or my laptop but I just don't feel like I need to install it, if it ain't broke don't fix it.
Do any of you install Java Updates?

You seriously should keep your Java up to date. There are numerous known vulnerabilities in the older versions, depending on how long you've been without updating. All it takes is that you visit a web site which has been hacked and it can start running nasty things on your computer.
Many experts recommend not having Java on your browser at all unless it's absolutely necessary.
