Something for anyone who remembers Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad:
An all-new animated short based off Denkou Choujin Gridman
Gridman, while not Ultraman, is still the coolest-looking Ultraman that never was, although I'm really enjoying Ultraman Max now I've properly started watching it on Crunchyroll.
Having finished my Gokaiger rewatch last week, I also hold the vs Gavan movie as my favourite Gokaiger movie, above 199 Heroes. Kenji Ohba is a badass.

As if the randomness of zords (dog , dumptruck , humanoid , ufo , elephant) and frog guns wasn't enough. This cockpit I have absoloutley no idea what to make of it , seriously what the hell is goin on over a Toei did they get a bad batch? because they are going off the rails with this series.

I was wondering where this thread went because I want a start a new project with the help of FAN members and this thread is the perfect pool in which to maybe pull out a co-host. Let me pitch the premise behind my idea to you:
Yeah, so some of you may or may not know, my personal friend and I host a podcast on FAN called the AurelioCast about a shitty telenovela. However, today as I went out for a walk, I had an idea for another podcast that I think would fair pretty well given that I don't think anybody's seriously done a podcast about it. I randomly started thinking about the show WMAC Masters and I thought, "Hmm...that show was f***ing bonkers. I bet it would lend itself to a great podcast." It didn't stop there, however. I then started thinking about shows like VR Troopers and Big Bad Beetleborgs. Thus, I came to the final idea behind the podcast: a podcast that dissects and riffs those shitty mid-90s Power Rangers/Mortal Kombat inspired live-action Saturday morning shows on Fox Kids. Thus, my question to you members of FAN is: Does this sound like a good idea or not? Do you have any criticisms or advice?
With that said, however, I'm looking for one perhaps two co-hosts from the forum! It can be anybody, as long as you feel like you can be funny and provide good insights on this show. Also, actually recording it would not be so complicated. If you have a gaming headset and Skype, then you're good to go. So, I guess if you're (or were) a fan of those shows, then by all means, be a part of the podcast.
So yeah, does anybody wanna help me out and make this idea become a thing?

This cockpit I have absoloutley no idea what to make of it , seriously what the hell is goin on over a Toei did they get a bad batch? because they are going off the rails with this series. It sort of fits with the combined form of Shurikenjin being a weird shrine thing with AkaNinger's mecha sat on it, so the cockpit is like that. There's another form where it's the blue Dragon on top as well, so everything's really weird and I like that. For some reason it also reminds me of Shinkenger, but I can't quite put my finger on how. I've been enjoying ToQGer, but I'm ready for the finale and looking forward to this starting. I watched Kamen Rider ZO last night (one the 3 movies released in the 90's marking KR's 20th anniversary). It made me want a more "mature" less toyetic Kamen Rider in this style (It helps I'm a bit of a Keita Amemiya mark). 2016 will be the 45 anniversary of the franchise, I have no doubt there will be a show then, but perhaps a separate show aimed at older fans would be cool (Kinda like Akibaranger, although that was more a comedy/parody). Something that takes Rider back to its roots. Also, I think Guillermo Del Toro saw this one before he made Pan's Labyrinth: Talking of Amemiya, subtitled Garo: Gold Storm trailer: The anime's good, but I'm excited for this. Also glad Ryuga and Rian have not been forgotten about. No sign of Takeru or Aguri though. It was fun seeing Gokai Silver do something more adult in that one.

Man, I wish Gridman would get an official US release. It's actually shorter than Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad, which did get a full DVD release (That I still need to get the second set of…)

Apparently a prescreening of the Garo "Gold Storm" movie took place last night along with a press event where details of the "Gold Storm" season were also divulged. www.tokunation.com/showpost.php?p=489287&postcount=437Turns out the "big bad" of the season will be a Horror named "Jinga" played by Masahiro Inoue, aka Tsukasa/Kamen Rider Decade: The thing that bugged me a little about "The One Who Shines in the Darkness" (the last season to feature Ryuga as Garo) was the lack of practical suits for the heroes (Garo had a real suit but it was only used in one scene, Gai and Zen were 100% CGI) and the Horrors. "Flower of Makai" fixed that, with more real suits, and I'm glad that's sticking, with Ryuga actually getting his own version of the suit: This is known as Garo "Sho" and the Gold Storm movie will be how the armor evolves into this. I love how it is more ornate than the previous ones. With the different looks it had in the anime as well, I get the impression they're trying to differentiate each Garo now with slightly different armor. Kouga (seasons 1 & 2) and Raiga (Season 4) had the same armor, but with different colour eyes (Kouga's father, Taiga also had the same armor in flashbacks), but Leon in the anime looked really different and as it is now held by Alfonso it looks different again. I hope Garo doesn't completely fall into a "Here's this year's show!" thing like Sentai & Kamen Rider, because I like the mythology that has built up so far, and I'd hate for that connection to be lost. Garo isn't bound by whatever toys Bandai wants to sell, though, so no chance of that.

Ladies and gentlemen, StarNinger! A cowboy-themed suit, a bison mecha, and, I shit you not, he has a guitar-shaped sword for a weapon and transforms using a burger: His shuriken is the slice of cheese! Blue & gold 6th ranger with a food-based morpher... ShinkenGold vibes, anyone?

Yeah, Japanese-American, spoke almost entirely in English early on. Guitar strumming , hamburger morpher cowboy themed ninja. If he isn't the son of jiraiya or related in some way I am gonna be real dissapointed. The villains of Ninninger have been referred to as the Yokai, whether or not they're the same ones the Kakurangers fought, is unknown (Generally with Sentai, the teams tend to be in their own separate universe, aside from teamup movies which take place in an alternate universe where all the sentai coexist, which is where Gokaiger also takes place), but that's the way to link the two for a crossover movie!

There are alot of call backs to Kakuranger , Hurricanger and especially Shinkenger.
Would surprise me if we do not get themeatic team up movie just like we got with Kyoryuger.
Oh and would be the perfect time to reintrodouce Gokaiger since next year is the 40th anniversary and we get the obvious NINJA VS PIRATE movie.

So....best Super Sentai 6'th member ever!
You just know during the TOQGER VS Ninninjer team up movie there is going to be a scene where Right tries to eat the burger henshin device and the cheese shurikens.
Speaking of which I'm working my way through TOQGER right now (Up to about episode 38) and I'm pretty much enjoying it more than I thought I would.
Mainly because it is able to take a very out there concept and approach it with a bit of seriousness and decorum.

Wait until you hit the Christmas episode. The feels! The Kobayashi caused feels!
Turns out Ninninger's head writer was a secondary writer to Kobayashi in the past.

It'd make sense to have the Gokaigers back for the 40th. Incidentally, Toei may well mark the 40th this year, as Himitsu Sentai Goranger will have aired 40 years ago on April 5th. Oddly, Super Hero Taisen as of last year and this year seems to be almost Kamen Rider-exclusive (I'm looking forward to the new one, Tetsuo Kurata's in it as Kotaro Minami/Kamen Rider Black). Maybe there's a Sentai movie in the offing as well. The thing with Gokaiger, is that there's nothing locking them to a specific era of Sentai, unlike Kamen Rider Decade who even now, can only turn into the Heisei-era riders, but no one from W onwards. Bandai can crank out some new Ranger Keys if they want, they did it for Go-Busters and Kyoryuger.

Yesterday, I finished Liveman, and...the finale wasn't what I expected. It was pretty anti-climactic. It was just another Liveman episode, complete with a Monster of the Week and mooks. So... {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Bias' HQ crashes on earth, Gush jobs to Yuusuke/Red Falcon and loses his arm, Megumi tries (and fails) to convince Bias, who became a child in the previous episode, to change his ways, while Colon and the others defeat the MOTW. After that, Bias (now an old man) and Gush go back into the HQ in an attempt to flee Earth. Their main engine explodes, and Bias is convinced by Gush that the explosions are fireworks, and they die in the HQ. The Livemen seemed pretty glad that Bias dies, despite their efforts to save the other members of Volt. Gush's head pops up, and plays a clip video of Volt causing chaos. And...the Livemen just stand there and watch the clips, even during the credits. And...that's it.

If ToQger would making me cry, that would be really great.
I've been watching Sentai since 2005. I have never had a series make me run the gamut of emotions the way ToQger has.
