I'm going to be the party pooper, but I'm sorry, that 'armour' looks clunky/corny as hell, Gadot looks too small and DC are still trying to cram far too much in to one movie. I actually like the armour. It's an obvious adaptation of the suit he uses to fight Supes in Dark Knight Returns. Not a fan of the Batsuit though, since the DKR suit is one of my least favourites. There doesn't seem to be any real direction for this movie. Does it really need WW?

look i love DKR to the point of having a Batman and Carrie Kelly tattoo but why are they starting at the end of Batman?

Thinking logically, Bruce would have seen the devastation in Metropolis, considered Superman a threat, and built the armoured Batsuit in case he needed to face him.

I'm probably gonna catch flack for this, but screw it. This movie will remain expected garbage in my view until proven otherwise. Yay, more dark gritty DC stuff. I've said it a ton of times, and seen others say it too; why can't DC have a big colourful Supes for Batman to play off? Why does every have to be so dour? Why are DC so damn ashamed of making superhero movies? Marvel have no f***s to give. They're releasing a movie with a talking tree and a gun-toting raccoon. That's why they're light years ahead in the cinema. DC just wants to make dark Batman movies. Marvel are taking franchises no-one ever thought would get a movie and putting them on-screen. Hell, look at Iron Man. Pre-2008, he wasn't in the public consciousness in a big way. Now look; EVERYONE knows who Iron Man is. DC want to fall back on Batman primarily and Superman when it suits, and then throw a clusterf*** of other heroes on with them to try and and pad out the roster. DC should just give up the ghost at this point. They clearly don't want to make superhero movies, so why bother.

I like the different takes personally. Love the Marvel stuff, and have liked the DC stuff as well.
This movie may be terrible; but I liked the previous movie, and I like what I've seen so far of this one.

Because TDK made money, and WB can't see that it worked not because it was dark, but because Batman is dark and it suited his world. Then again I look at most of the New 52, and yeah, it's DC's problem as well.

Warner Bros/DC should just hire Bruce Timm to help write these movies. He has an obvious love for the characters and stories. Plus he's written plenty of movies and comic books. Maybe not put the whole project on him but a team of writers with him and some other people who give a shit could turn out some really great movies. Fixed.

I would have been more willing to give this a chance had that been the case. Look at the first 3 Reeve movies. They had serious, but Superman was what he needed to be. That should be the blueprint.

Superman III was terrible.
First two were great of course (mostly); but I loved Man of Steel as well. Just different takes.

After the 3 Nolan films everything else is just gravy for me.

I really like the design for Wonder Woman's costume, especially since it maintains that Ancient Greek/Amazonian aesthetic. The heels are weird (I would've preferred typical boot soles or armored sandals), but the rest of it works really well.

Like someone else said, I enjoy it in the "so bad it's good" way. And I do get that people enjoyed MoS. I respect people have different opinions. It just wasn't for me.

Man of Steel was all right. It was better than anything since Superman II but then that isn't say a whole lot. III and IV are infamous for being terrible, but Returns was one of the most boring superhero movies I've ever seen.

III and IV are infamous for being terrible, but Returns was one of the most boring superhero movies I've ever seen. I'd guess some purists were saying "Come back, Returns, all is forgiven" just because Routh's Superman still pretty much acted like Superman, instead of the neck-snapping, suspiciously 9/11-like building destruction causing Cavill Supes. Returns wasn't necessarily boring, it was just stuck in the '70s. And they have yet to get a good Lois since Dana Delaney's voice (yes, Kate, I am looking at you). MOS was TOO 2010s, and worse, too New 52.

Seems like an OK place to post this, but on Adult Swim we are up to the unaired episodes of Beware the Batman. This one was centered around Magpie, which is cool cause I like that rendition of her. A shame this seems to be it for her since the show isn't going on after this. {Spoiler} Buried alive imagery is always an easy trope to cause me to be creeped out. And I almost thought the headstone falling would kill Magpie in "her" own grave had I not remembered that the show was made for Saturday morning/whenever CN darn well decided to throw it morning. Also, my DVR listed part of the episode as a 5 minute block for "Batman Beyond." What's up with that?

How is it, Man of Steel's destruction is too much, but Avengers is hunky dory?
I love both, and have no problems with either, that just never makes sense to me. NYC gets pretty wrecked in the battle with the Chitauri.

NYC gets pretty wrecked in the battle with the Chitauri. Superman didn't really do much to prevent the destruction of Metropolis, whereas the Avengers made sure to evacuate as many civilians as possible and tried to keep the fighting to a certain area of New York. Superman and Zod just fought all over the place, and people felt that a more accurate interpretation of Superman would have him protecting citizens of Metropolis during the fight even though in terms of the story this was pretty much his first outing as a superhero and thus would be more inexperienced in dealing with a threat like Zod. I didn't even have a problem with the damage to Metropolis, I was just annoyed that they kept fighting even though it should have ended LONG before and that's coming from someone who liked MOS.
