The New Midnight Express would have been a failure. The New Midnight Express was a failure, as evident with Hardcore Holly and Bart Gunn. Impressive that 2 newbs got to say no to it, while 2 veterans were stuck with it and (especially in the case of Bart) killed any heat they ever had. Bart got back his heat after the Midnight Express when he won the Brawl For All, he was pretty over at the time, but the WWF shelved him soon after the tournament and then he lost his heat (with fans and office) when he got killed by Butterbean. If they had of pushed him in as a pro wrestler in worked conditions (like every other guy in the company, duh) he could of been big, but for some reason they stick him in a legit match with no safety net. Lucky for him Japan still saw some legit skills in him to push him for a few years.

The Edge used to be a pretty cool radio station in Albany (where he took the name from). But, it died off after Stern switched to Sirius. I think another station in the area stole it later on. I like to think every radio market in America has a station called The Edge. It's usually somewhere in the 89s or 107s on a radio dial. They usually play classic hard rock or alternative rock. And the DJs can't tell a joke to save their mothers from a firing squad. We've got a station just like that around here where a DJ sometimes tries to describe funny pictures from Facebook. "OK, so there's this thing called a meme..."

When our local "The Edge" became "The X", they switched from a purely alternative rock format to the "active rock" format (which means they cut out the more interesting stuff in order to play Led Zepplin 100 times a day in its place), and hired an insult comic (Earl David Reed) to run their morning show.
