Like, seriously.
-The characters were likable and did believable things. Hector saying they should take the footage to the cops was possibly the smartest idea anyone in this movie series has had.
-they've thankfully dropped the whole "stare at something for ages and then it drops suddenly" thing which wasn't scary in the first place.
-Finally, after FOUR movies of the cult easily taking out the good guys with barely a sweat, one of the protagonists finally decides to go up against them armed and loaded, and actually manages to kill a few of them.
-Basement scene was terrifying.
-Ending was so twisted. Reminded me a lot of the Blair Witch Project's ending, in fact.

While better than 4, I thought it was "meh" at best
The only one I really enjoyed was the first one, the rest (besides 4 which was ASS) are ok IMO

Unexpectedly great, tied in NICELY to the other ones without even advertising it would, and - yeah. Loved it. 10/10, would watch again.

I mean they did feature the daughter from PA2 briefly in the ads.

Everyone in my theater clapped when that happened. Nice to see someone going Ash from Evil Dead on those witches' asses.

But with giving it a subtitle and not a number, it seemed like it wouldn't connect at all - and nothing I saw said it was or wasn't. Suppose that was just my own connection.
