I'm convinced Jason Statham movies are all set in the same universe. Fun fact but The Transporter film series and Collateral are set in the same universe. Jason Statham as Frank Martin makes a cameo in one of the first scenes in Collateral handing Tom Cruise a briefcase.

This f***ing guy shows up as a gangbanger in like every cop movie/TV show for the past 15 years. He even played one in Bruce Almighty and The Walking Dead.

Ben Stiller as the somewhat socially awkward guy who has bad stuff happen to him. Dean Norris as a cop or some sort of authority figure.

Sean Connery as Sean Connery.
Sean Bean always seems to play world-weary types. Who get killed.

Some A Listers would include the following:
Bruce Willis: Has played something other then a Cop but it isn't common. A majority of his movies he plays the rough around the edges Cop who always gets the job done no matter the cost.
Cameron Diaz: Most of the time plays the hot chick love interest who is a little bit silly or goofy
James Dean: I'm a huge fan of James Dean and have seen all of his movie work. He always plays a troubled teenager/young adult who is weird but eventually everybody comes to understand him and love him. This obviously worked for him because he died in 1956 and is still a sex symbol and loved by the world.
Jennifer Aniston: Every single movie she plays a love interest. Occasionally it changes but most of the time she's the generic woman who can't find love despite the fact she's beautiful.
John Wayne: ALways played a Cowboy. If you've seen 1 film of his you've seen them all
B Listers:
The dude from Juno: I've seen three of his films and he always plays this nerdy but good hearted guy who can't get the girl but does in the end.
George Lazenby: This guy was my motivation to get into acting because he "made it" with no training and made a career out of it. For those unaware he played James Bond once in 1969 and turned down a 7 film deal because he felt James Bond would die in the 70's. Throughout his career his only major roles after the Bond movie are playing complete rip offs of James Bond. For example he's played "J.B" and "James B" on TV and in Movies. Totally typecast but to his credit he openly admits it and even in his 70's he's trying to break the typecast by doing independent movies for no money. Kudos to him.

Sean Bean as a corpse.
Michael Cera/Seth Rogen. Is it typecasting if you can only play one character to begin with?
Johnny Depp has been Jack Sparrow in nearly every movie he's been in since Pirates.

Although not his fault, Elvis was always typecast as an amateur singer in his movies.

Christian Bale tends to play the brooding tough guy unable/unwilling to show his emotions to those around him quite a bit.

Don't forget Al Leong as a criminal thug/henchman in practically every movie he's ever been in. (Except of course, in Bill & Ted, when he was Genghis Khan.)

John Wayne: ALways played a Cowboy. If you've seen 1 film of his you've seen them all John Wayne only every really played John Wayne. Don't forget Al Leong as a criminal thug/henchman in practically every movie he's ever been in. (Except of course, in Bill & Ted, when he was Genghis Khan.) so many times I've tried to point out how many films he's in from the 80's-90's but could never remember his name
