@markschlereth 2h I'd much rather see the NFL levy fines for a show like Sherman put on at the end of the game then for a nice Good hard football hit This is the NFL... You know its getting a bigger fine than a dirty hit would. They fined one of the Seahawk players $50k for not talking to the media enough this year. The fine goes away if he talks to the media in the future, but it becomes $100k if he continues to avoid the media.

This has already become Rob Van Dam's favorite Super Bowl "Because of weather problems the NFL has decided to move the Super to 4/20." It's kinda funny this year 4/20 lands on a Sunday. They just need to get New Jersey to join the legalize pot club.

A few thoughts from today's games:
1. Seattle's Temple of Doom is well known for its noise, but Denver's crowd was no slouch these playoffs. When the Broncos are a playoff/SB threat, that's not a place you want to visit.
2. More shocking no-show today- Vernon Davis, Amendola, or Blount?
3. Letter grade Peyton Manning's game today given the stakes/opposition/everything hanging over him?

I know there's the extra week, but both teams will be travelling some distance to New Jersey, so I have a feeling it'll be a bit of a sloppy game. The Seahawks D will come at Manning hard, but I can see Peyton reading the coverage well.
In my view, this game will be decided on how well Wilson performs. If the hyped matchup cancels itself out, if the Seahawks offense gets going, Manning has to step it up, and one or two blitzes could settle it.
Right now, I have the Seahawks winning a very close one.

Since my Titans bottled out again, having no personal like or dislike of either team in the Superbowl, I'm gonna cheer the Seahawks due to SanFran decision to have some PR relationship with Leeds United, and as a Bantams fan, the enemy of the friend of the enemy is my friend and such.

It's "THAN" not "THEN". Get your shit together Schlereth.

Sherman is an idiot, that much is for sure. But his comments themselves don't bother me so much as the fact that the guy just couldn't be a gracious winner. You're going to the Super bowl, dude. No need to act like a f***ing child

My anger has subsided somewhat.
The bad news for the Broncos: They haven't faced a defense as physical as Seattle, and they haven't faced a secondary as good as Seattle's.
The good news for the Broncos: Seattle's offense has been remarkably meh for awhile, and they don't have to face San Francisco's linebackers.
The great news for the Broncos: Peyton Manning has 2 weeks to prepare for the Seahawks, and the game isn't in Seattle. Also I'm pretty sure Matt Prater could nail a 50 yard field goal in a blizzard, so if it comes down to kickers, they've got that easily.

For the first time in quite a few years there is a Superbowl containing teams that I DON'T hate with a passion.
Either team could win and I'll be happy.

As a neutral I'm going to enjoy the hell out of this game.
The focus will be on Manning and the offense vs That scary Seattle secondary and front 7. And rightly so, it will be amazing.
But I feel the match will be won and lost during the Seattle offense vs Denver defense possessions. If Seattle can't get going against a defense that do not get enough credit, then Manning won't need to have an epic performance.
The Seattle defense is the best in the league, but they aren't unbeatable. If Wilson and the offence can't keep up, Denver wins this.
But there's so many factors to consider. I can't wait. So excited for this game. May the best team win. And it will be a team win. Either Denver's defense or Seattle's offense steps up.

It's funny to me these analysts and ex players that are slamming Sherman never call out Harbaugh for throwing tantrums on the sideline like a 2 year old.

Sherman on Twitter: A lion doesn't concern himself with the opinions of a sheep. OK, I was all worked up in a lather last night after watching Dick Sherman put on his clown makeup and make a fool of himself during the postgame interview, but after reading that tweet, I finally understand that he understands the method behind his madness. He's a classic pro wrestling heel. He's braggadocios, arrogant, obnoxious, and has a sketchy history with cheating, and he knows that he's the villain, so he's playing that card to perfection. And what better way for Peyton Manning to end the season as the conquering hero than to leave the classic heel a quivering mess of himself on the biggest stage of them all, WrestleMa...er...the Super Bowl. As somebody who loves every single thing Kanye West says and does, I can't explain why I detest everything Sherman does, but now at least I get why he does it.

Coach Bill Belichick ripped Wes Welker Monday, calling the hit that knocked Aqib Talib out of the AFC Championship Game "deliberate."
Texans hired Romeo Crennel as their defensive coordinator.

The full quote: I cannot explain how stunning this is and how rare it is for Bill Belichick to say something like this. He NEVER calls out a player, his own or an opponent, for a questionable hit, so you've got to wonder if it's some of the lingering bitterness between he and Welker that caused him to say that.

Oh, I'm sure it's still there for both sides. And while I'm not entirely sure it was deliberate, it sure did look like an illegal pick.

I want to know who thought this was a good idea: "Look, Sherman just had a hand in the play that sealed the game. Let's stick a live mic in his face two minutes later and act shocked when he starts going crazy."
