You know what really annoys me? When a team gets absolutely dominated and they say having their injured players make would have meant they won. It would have been a way different game, but to say you won after getting decimated isn't really fair in any way. If it was a close game then yeah, injuries probably could have swayed the game in your favour, but it's not like Pats weren't simply manhandled from start to finish yesterday. Nobody on the Patriots, to my knowledge, has said anything of the sort. Denver was the better, healthier team. That's a fact

They should do Hard Knocks with the Browns, that is going to be a complete train wreck.

I know I'm late, but I have to say that Sherman's post-game interview made me pull for the Seahawks for the Super Bowl.
Such a classic heel promo.

Speaking Monday, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said the league could eventually abolish the extra point. Why? Just because it's rarely missed? Someone needs to piss test this guy.

Speaking Monday, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said the league could eventually abolish the extra point. So would the go NFL Blitz style, free extra point unless you try for two, or just get rid of the extra point kick and two point conversion which would be the dumbest f*** idea he's ever had?

Speaking Monday, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said the league could eventually abolish the extra point. Did he at all mention why or is he on another massive power trip? I liked Goodell at first when he came in and seemingly did his best to clean up bad behavior from some players, but now he's gotten high off being the commish. He seemingly just does things for the hell of it.

This what he said
"The extra point is almost automatic," Goodell said. "I believe we had five missed extra points this year out of 1,200 some odd. So it's a very small fraction of the play, and you want to add excitement with every play." Goodell said the league is intrigued by a proposal that would automatically grant seven points for every touchdown, but still allow teams to try for an eighth point via a traditional offensive play. The catch is that if you fail to convert, the touchdown then becomes worth only six points.
He not the only one in the league that feels this way

I've not heard one Patriot make excuses for yesterday's loss, whether it was a bad call or poor gameplanning or a lack of personnel. Yes, Bill Belichick pointed out that Wes Welker targeted Aqib Talib on a pick play yesterday, but at no point did he say, "...and if Aqib were healthy, we would have won."
That being said, fans are a different monster, and many fans have used those excuses today. But the fans aren't the ones in the locker room nor are they the ones on the field.
At the end of the day, the Patriots have to get a lot better. Their 12-4 record and conference championship berth was a mirage. They feasted on a putrid division and through attrition they were one of the two finalists in a weak conference ravaged by injuries. There are a lot of areas that need to be addressed during the off-season.
- Bill Belichick needs to remove Stevan Ridley from the doghouse and have a little bit of faith in him. Burying the guy on the bench is not going to address his fumbling issues, it's only going to bury that thought deeper in his head.
- They need to give Tom Brady actual weapons to throw to. Not the injury prone munchkins like Danny Amendola and Austin Collie, not the street free agents like Matthew Mulligan and Michael Hoomanawanui, not special teamers like Matthew Slater, not the mid-to-late-round rookies like Josh Boyce and Kenbrell Thompkins. Brady's only two legitimate targets were Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski, and Gronkowski missed almost the entire season with a myriad of injuries, while Edelman is about to hit free agency after a 100-catch season. And considering the way they treated Wes Welker in free agency, I have my reservations that they'll extend themselves to bring Edelman back.
- Something needs to be done to address their issues in the secondary, because whenever Talib goes down, they suddenly revert back to the swiss cheese secondary of 2010 and 2011 that couldn't stop Dan Orlovsky, Vince Young, Shaun Hill or Chad Henne. I like Alfonzo Dennard and Logan Ryan, but cannot and should not be responsible for covering the likes of Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker. And for the love of god can they quit it with this cruel game and just release Kyle Arrington?
By virtue of their division and conference, the 2014 Patriots will again be a playoff threat and one of the top handful of teams in the AFC, but I don't want to settle for that.

So he wants to go Blitz style then. Well, I honestly cannot say I hate the idea but I can understand not liking it.

If they go through with this I can see kickers and punters eventually becoming one highly specialized position, which frees up a roster spot for another player.

So long as King is not the one making the reference, that would be okay. No better way to kill a topical reference on WWE TV than give it to King.
