Got a bad feeling AJ may be losing the title soon I've seen this type of comment come up a lot already... I might need some examples of this kind of thing happening in the past where one person in a relationship has left and the other that stayed on has gotten punished for it, because none come to mind right now. If not... stop being so damn paranoid, you lot. There's been so much of that already this week. Primo. Matt Hardy. At least if you believe their guilt-ridden brothers.

I'd agree with that, but I feel that give a semi-hurt person crap for months (Curtis Axel/suited Kane/no sign of progress) and it's liable to annoy even the saints amongst us (like Daniel Bryan!) Punk made the bad crap work (see: feud with Rey) but no one can make the best of junk for ages unless their name is Kane. ...thinking on it Kane is probably the only person capable of turning everything to gold and going with the flow. A deity of patience. But sometimes patience isn't good enough and pushing for more is. The feud with Kane, if rumors are true, was going to lead to a Wrestlemania match against Triple H. Seeing as how the Authority has been the number one storyline in the company since Summerslam, Punk has no reason to complain about booking. You can't make a judgement on rumours which haven't happened (the problem with "wait and see" is that it has no value) in regards to bookings when in my personal opinion a feud with Paul Heyman/Curtis Axel, a one week feud pressed to two months with The Shield, and then one with suited Kane have been on the air for a few months. All rather third wheel, all absolutely terrible in their arcs and air time. This isn't so much Punk's attitude as me saying "well yeah, it's shit TV, who really blames someone for not wanting to be in a better written program when they're seen as being on par with the likes of John Cena?"

I'm a big CM Punk fan but I really hope he hasn't walked out because he feels he should be in the Wrestlemania main event because he shouldn't. At least not this year. If he's walked out because WWE has no massive plan for him at Wrestlemania and are going with Bryan vs. HHH then I can understand why he's pissed off. I honestly hope this is resolved and he gets a big Wrestlemania match but I can't see who that would be against now.

The Shield might be the biggest heels on the roster besides Orton. And Punk beat all three of them in a PPV match. And the Kane feud has been a couple of weeks, not months. Again, Punk has no reason to complain about the booking.

In November/December, the rumors were Punk was booked to win the rumble. If suddenly he was told Batista was winning, no wonder he'd be pissed. He felt that as a "top guy" he should main event a Mania and history is on his side in regards to that thinking. But at the end of the day, if he's not satisfied, he has every right to leave. He even left with a way to write him out. Success is defined on an individual basis, what might seemed good for some isn't good for all and if Punk feels he was wasting his time, I don't think he's in the wrong here.

Wow.
Wow at the news, and wow that this popped up in the middle of the night and already has sixteen pages.
Just wow.
I'll even say it backwards, such is my surprise-wow.

I wonder if this is why he just sat in the corner at the Rumble for half an hour?

He's entitled to leave. Just like anyone else is if he's not happy with his job. Doesn't mean he deserves sympathy, however, especially since he's treated a lot better than 95% of the roster.

CM took his ball and went home like Austin, or was it more like Frank from Rocky Horror given he said he was going home? People's got to know. "How sentimental." Punk-N-Furter It's all over You're mission is a failure You're promos too extreme We're the new Authority You are just a worker Go back to Old Chicago Your "change" was just a dreeeeeam..." (What did you say when Vince caught you dressed as Stephanie schtupping AJ dressed like MachoMan?) WAIT, I CAN EXPLAIN...

I wonder if this is why he just sat in the corner at the Rumble for half an hour? IMO the whole Rumble was booked like garbage. Other than Reigns & Kofi no one did anything significant.

Again, Punk has no reason to complain about the booking. They are, but it was a filler feud with absolutely no value that didn't mean anything for Punk. It was the same story over and over for weeks. Which can be said of a lot of feuds in the WWE but that's my general point in regards to not feeling that the WWE is right in their treatment of their guys. They're wasting potential just out of stubbornness or a complete lack of enjoyable writing. Not that I think that'd matter as such if he hadn't of been booked against Curtis Axel/Ryack (remember a year ago when he was THE babyface of the WWE in live reactions? Who the company ruined beyond belief for absolutely zero reason...) prior, and then with a suited non-wrestler Kane after. He's been involved with filler for so long, badly written unentertaining filler, that if he had left as he felt beating his own body up for the company was a waste of time, then it surely must be a waste of time. The feud with The Shield would be fine if it had been written to end and Punk had more stories of importance around it, hell, I'm not even a Punk fan any more but the idea of not pushing one of your few full time main event stars as...a full time main event star is mind boggling. ...it could just be that I feel sorry for anyone who ever has to make Curtis Axel look like a threat too. Damn I hate Curtis Axel.

I imagine in a few hours, once everyone with normal hours has had time to wake up and see this, this place is going to explode.

Having to sell for the midget in a bully costume was the final straw for Punk.

He got punished by WWE...because they fired his ex? Lolwut? There's really no good examples. Bobby Lashley quit when Kristal got fired, Miz got depushed after Maryse got canned/quit/whatever (she never really explained that one iirc) but again, that would be beyond his control. And it goes on like this. AJ's not going anywhere anytime soon. At least I hope not because leaving just because the person you're in a relationship with bails is a bit of an indictment on one's dedication. Leaving because of something you believe in, like if she falls on her sword after publicly complaining about something, I'd support her 100 percent. But when it becomes about someone else, after all the talking up about how much you care, or how much it matters, etc., would bother me a little bit.

Payback was returning to Chicago in the summer. There's every reason to believe that he would geet his focus back then. Obviously, all the details aren't clear yet. But it just strikes me as a bit selfish and certainly impatient that the man can't take a few months of being filler to get to that point. I appreciate the sentiment of taking a stand. I guess. It also strikes me as incredibly short-sighted, however. It's selfish of him to quit because he's unhappy? No one would say that to a normal person working a normal job. He's no different than you or me just because he's on TV. People keep accusing him of being self-entitled, but the only self-entitled ones are the people who want him to stay at his miserable job for their benefit. He owes no one a damn thing. I don't disagree with the general sentiment but most normal people quitting their normal jobs would have to work their notice.

Damn I hate Curtis Axel. "Filler feuds" are not an excuse to half ass it. If an athlete is dogging it in games that don't matter, he or she is rightfully criticized. Same should go for Punk. You're contracted to do a job. It's your responsibility to do it to the best of your abilities. If you feel such a job is beneath you, you should walk, but you don't deserve sympathy.
