Not looking through 10+ pages, is this actually getting covered by mainstream news stations? The BBC, Independant and Sky Sports have all reported he's left.

The fake tweets aren't funny on any level.

It's kind of disturbing how many times I've read that he has no right to quit his job if he's unhappy. That, regardless of situation he is in, he has no right to quit. He has a right to do whatever he wants with his life, but I have a right to point out that it's childish and unprofessional. Quitting because your boss can't tell you how he's gonna make up all the money you used to make from a certain department? I was told a month ago I might not get a raise this year, if I had Punk money you damn rights I would've quit. If they had told me they're scaling back what I'm already earning, then I absolutely would've quit on the spot.

Anyone know how far in advance Colt tapes his intros for TAoW? I know the show itself is pretty far in advance but I wonder if Punk could show up on tomorrows show in the intro.

Can you give me a short synopsis? I'm on my phone at work. I'm only halfway through - Peter Rosenberg claims that he has a very reliable source who claims the whole thing is 100% real. - After that, they are discussing all the potential outcomes and what might happen with Punk and weigh in on potential of him making big money on indies. edit: - now they went back to rumble and Bryan not being in and Rey as #30 Rest of the podcast - Smackdown spoilers - Triple H & Steph - Rumble - And then they went back to Punk. They talked how he's clearly doing things on his own all the time, unlike a company man like Cena. Punk does things irrationally sometimes, in heat of the moment. Punk is aware of who he is and what's his value, and he enjoys that ("Mark for himself" - Rosenberg). And he's creating leverage for himself. - Although they've been building Bryan vs Authority for 6 months, in one day the CM Punk leaving story is bigger than anything that had happened in recent times. - Some speculation about the ideal time/moment for his eventual return. - It would suck if his final moment was against El Torrito. - Shoemaker asks everyone to find something else positive to not spend the whole day being down because of this.

If CM Punk does leave, between that - no Daniel Bryan WWE Title Match and Orton Vs Batista, this might be the first WM I don't buy since I started watching wrestling 8 years ago.

Are we sure this isn't part of the Daniel Bryan meta-angle that's bringing in the new kayfabe, overseen by our savior Triple H?
Seriously, we lost one of the best guys in pro wrestling to accommodate Randy Orton and freaking Batista....

I wouldn't be shocked if it were true. If you read any books or listen to shoots wrestlers say how they're told "If you don't like it go home", and Punk is one of the few that will call the bluff.

I'm guessing WWE is hoping to negotiate with him, which is why they haven't posted anything yet. Maybe let him blow off some steam and work on bringing him back into the fold.

If this is the end of Punk in WWE, which I'm 99% sure it isn't, cooler heads will prevail eventually, what a way to go out. Seriously, you couldn't make up a better ending to the Saga of CM Punk.

If he really does quit this week, you can be sure of a 13 minute HHH promo to kick off the next episode of RAW where he talks about Punk taking his ball and going home.

Seriously, though. If it's a power play, Punk may not have as good a hand as he thinks he does. Assuming he just walked out--I can't think of a person who has just walked out and ever came back to have a memorable, great second run. They always get sabotaged.
Nash left on good terms, but he said in more than one interview that you're never really welcomed home again.

Sure, it seemed to be an issue he was concerned about, but there is really no proof at all that he was so upset over that situation that he was ready to quit over it. Whatever 9-to-5 job you work cannot compare to CM Punk's contractual obligations to his company and the fans who have paid money to see him perform based on the contractual guarantee he made to that company. If you quit, they hire someone else and replace you. If CM Punk quits, it screws over thousands upon thousands of people who were depending on him to be there.

Intros seem to happen a day or two before the podcast drops so potentially Punk could be on today with Colt on the intro. For example when Punk did the "Hey Colt Cabana", Colt covered it on that weeks podcast and said "Hey CM Punk" and then Punk said "Hey" back to him because they were in the same room.

It sickens me that people act as if these guys are exempt from treating the workplace like a workplace because they're on TV. He was unhappy, so he's making a change to be happy. Who the hell is anyone to say "Screw your happiness! WWE pushed you a lot!"?

If I was Punk, I'd take my AJ and go home. He better not. There's gonna be a 100 page thread in a day. You thought the Great Daniel Bryan War was something? It won't be shit compared to the AJ Rebellion.

So are we going to get sources to these mainstream news sources reporting it, or are people just being idiotic? Because scanning over the websites and twitter feeds of those mentioned shows nothing regarding Punk?
