Just how are they "burying" him? There was zero mention of him. You answered your own question. They never even acknowledged he existed, you would think if they were bothered they would respond to the chants? Hate is not the opposite of love, it is indifference. Why would they respond to the chants? Considering the negative attention WWE got from not having Daniel Bryan in the Royal Rumble, I doubt anyone has any sympathy for their bad booking causing a top guy to leave so there's nothing to gain by admitting it.

I think to say that bad booking caused him to leave is a presumption. We don't know why he left.

Just the fact it happened after a show that got such a negative reaction seems a bit too coincidental.

I believe there is a logical reason why the Punker left.
He and Colt Cabana are currently on a reconnaissance mission to Mexico. They are in search of El Generico, who has gone missing from the village of orphans he was helping against the band of banditos who were causing a ruckus to the children.
I wish Punk and Cabana good luck. And please save Generico.

Is that where Kassius Ohno went as well? Because there's this dude on the indie circuit who is a DEAD ringer they could replace him with, but he's a bit better than Ohno.

They actually meet him on the way there. And while they're there, CM Punk falls for a lovely senorita in the village of orphans, but tragedy befalls her, causing Punk to finally snap, screaming, "IT'S CLOBBERIN' TIIIIIIIIIME!!!!" before destroying the banditos in full Hulk Punk mode.

I have the feeling shit's going to hit the fan with WWE soon. Not that they're going to be in any danger of going out of business or anything, but it seems like 2014 is going to be a bad year for them and I can't help but think the Network's going to be an utter disaster.

Welp, you can't really walk out on your job. I'll write that. I suppose you can't be lame duck, either, unless there is a "due cause" clause in his contract...
This doesn't feel like it's simply company direction. If that were truly the case, wouldn't Bryan, Ambrose, Black, and all the other guys walked out, too. For the first time, Punk is truly alone. Last time, it was the pipe-bomb, and it did legitimately get the conversation going. If he's an advocate for the boys in the back, then, that sucks, but what are you going to do?
As far as royalties go, if a fan like a wrestler or a particular theme, i.e. WM or TLC matches, they are going to buy the DVDs regardless. I'm not sure there should be too big of a loss for the talent. I would assume that the talent gets a share of the "hits" of their product from the stream. If they don't, they should look into it legally, I suppose.
As far as getting the Hogan treatment, it's The E's way of saying, "Yeah, we don't need you, either." This, too, shall pass. Think of it this way: Punk is in the same category as Hogan and Macho. Think about that one.

From Lords of Pain: Those RKO/"Chicago Flag" shirts should be selling like hotcakes.

From Lords of Pain: Those RKO/"Chicago Flag" shirts should be selling like hotcakes. I'd laugh if they simply just took already-existing Punk merch and just placed Orton logos over anything relating to Punk.

We're not going to get any real updates about Punk and his talks with Vince for a long while aren't we?

We're not going to get any real updates about Punk and his talks with Vince for a long while aren't we? Since the only thing from the Punk side of things is Punk ain't talking to anyone, yeah, it's going to be awhile.

I feel like Punk is probably in a better financial place to do this than those guys. I don't actually know, obviously, but I wouldn't expect any of those fellas to walk away over creative differences.
