I forgot the ending of the story.
So after Punk and Cabana defeat Dragon Dragon and rescue Generico, they hold a small ceremony as Punk buries his lost love, ummm.....Whatshername. They slowly walk off into the sunset, as Generico and the orphans wave good bye and shout their appreciation for the Second City Saints. Then Punk turns towards the camera, points his finger and mouths, "Bang."
Then cue the credits to "Real Folk Blues."

I hope he runs out of money and has to come back.
Whether you agree or not, him walking out before a show is EXTREMELY unprofessional. He's upset? He's being paid well to pretend to fight, which he loves to do.
He's not 14, give me a break.

He hasn't been the focal point of the show in a while and there was no indication that was about to change, he wasn't holding a title or in the middle of a feud and he walked out at a point which gave them the maximum possible amount of time to adjust their plans leading up to Wrestlemania short of quitting the moment he went backstage during the rumble... What a jerk! Guy should totally lose all his money and keep on working for Vince until his body is utterly wrecked, it's only fair punishment for standing up for himself and leaving because he's unhappy with the direction of the company.

I agree, he picked a pretty good time to leave the company and it looks like they had no problem changing things around. While it was somewhat selfish what he did, it doesn't seem to have truely hurt the company. Also if he felt it wasn't worth it for him anymore, than no point in ruining your body to the point you can't enjoy your retirement.

Not really what I said. The financial ruin part was a joke and since no seemed to have picked up on it then I'll take responsibility for it but he signed a contract that said he would appear. Just cause WWE could do the same thing to him doesn't make it right, don't get me wrong, I have no sympathy for WWE in this at all, I just think it's a shitty thing to do as an employee.

Well yeah, it is his job to do that. Walking out of a job before contract expiry is a pretty shitty thing to do.

I apologise for the snark then. Spend too long online and you get used to people saying things like that and meaning it in all seriousness. He's an independent contractor not a full time employee and given how utterly merciless the WWE have been toward their workers, certain management favorites aside, if he was contractually obligated to be there, he would be or there'd be news of legal action being taken against him now.

I mean, I reckon his job is really difficult and if I thought he was leaving because he was hurt, or burnt out from the entire workload then Id have a lot more sympathy for him, and this well might be the case, we don't know.
But really, given the way Punk is, I find it hard to believe he'd feel as burnt out or hurt if he was being given a bit more direction. This is understandable, of course, but at the end of day, unless he's promised this in his contract then he's in the wrong. Again, maybe it is, and even if it is, it's open to interpretation. He's just a guy, and I totally acknowledge nobodies perfect, I'm not attacking him as a person or owt I'm just saying on this issue I have no sympathy.
A lot of you are Punk fans so maybe you'll be a little bias and I'll be bias because I dislike what he's done. I hope I'm coming across as reasonable, and sure I'm cracking a few jokes, cos in the grand scheme things, this is a wrestling forum I enjoy and like a lot, but it's hardly worth taking seriously.

I hope I'm coming across as reasonable, and sure I'm cracking a few jokes, cos in the grand scheme things, this is a wrestling forum I enjoy and like a lot, but it's hardly worth taking seriously. The thing is, yeah, I'm a huge Punk fan, but if someone like The Miz did this, I'd support it just as much. And it's not hard to search through my posts to find out that I HATE Miz. The bottom line for me is that WWE truly is misusing their talent, ignoring their fans, and creating no upward mobility for guys that work hard all year. Combine that with the fact that WWE expects them to keep banging up their bodies for no reward, and any guy on that roster minus a select few (Orton, Batista) have every right to walk out. I mean, look at it this way. "Hey Punk, we know you've been busting your ass for us for years, and you're one of the most popular guys we have. Well regardless, you're still only going to be in the third or fourth most important match at WrestleMania behind part-time talent and a guy who just came back last week. But please, keep jumping off the top rope and working on those heavily taped knees. And hey, you still need to make some time to go over a new multi-year deal." See what I mean? Of course they aren't literally saying stuff like that, but their actions say it for them. Even John Cena has every right to walk on that place with how much of a workload they put on him and how many times he's been rushed back from surgeries. WWE is taking their talent for granted, based mostly I would assume on the fact that they have virtually nowhere else to work. Punk is a multi-millionaire who doesn't live extravagantly, so he said "f*** it, I don't even need a job" and he walked.

Punk has been taking MMA classes for several years, so he does have a foundation. But yeah, Frank is a black belt in seven or eight different martial arts and got his first black belt at age 12. He'd mop the floor with anyone in WWE. In a straight up fight, probably. In MMA? He wouldn't plough through the roster as easily as one may think, there are a fair few guys with MMA training and even more amateur wrestlers, and lets not forget, Frank has never fought anyone of note and doesn't seem that interested in fighting anyone who could pose a threat. He wants a big name fight he knows he can win and he won't find that in MMA so Punk fits the bill, what with his lack of experience and decade of being repeatedly dropped onto sheets of plywood every other night. Well my guess would be the actual reason why he has been calling out Punk is because a couple of years ago JDF tried to call out Jean-Claude Van Damme for fight of some sorts, because according to Frank Van Damme was dick to him in the mid 90s and JCVD straight up ignored him.

If this break is 6 months to a year or even longer, and we get a fully-motivated, healthy, fired-up CM Punk for one last good run, I'm all for it. Chris Jericho took 2-3 years off, came back and had the finest run of his career. I think Punk can do something similar.

I cant believe this because they would have played up Kane putting him through the table as what injured him and mentioned it on TV like they have with almost every other injury related absence. Exactly! If somebody Punk was entering a feud injured him, then surely Kane putting him through a table and ultimately out of action would have been mentioned on Raw and Punk's disappearance would have actually been referred to. Wouldn't it?
