In - AJ, Paul Heyman, Kofi Kingston Out - Colt Cabana, Luke Gallows, Cliff Compton Does anyone know the chicken and the egg of Punk's friendship with Gallows? Was it a situation where they became friends from working together in the Straight Edge Society or they SES stuff happened because Punk and he were friends? Punk said on his DVD that when WWE wanted him to get a bodyguard, he immediately suggested Gallows. Which implies they were at least friendly beforehand. Joey Mercury and Chris Hero are another two of Punk's close friends.

What about this scenario : Punk returns at WM30, but it's his farewell match? If he came back for a farewell match I'd honestly prefer he just stay gone. Whilst I will miss the man, exiting in the way he has is very....... punk. ....exactly.

I see a lot of posts about how CM Punk hates everyone but his own crew, but who are his friends? In and out of the WWE who are the people CM Punk considers his friends. I don't know and I'm very curious. In - AJ, Paul Heyman, Kofi Kingston Out - Colt Cabana, Luke Gallows, Cliff Compton AJ's in? I thought she was both in AND out.... ![](http://www.memegene.net/media/templates/250/condescending_cm_punk.jpg)

I could swear I remember hearing him talk about how much Randy helped him get through the WWE mine field and adjust his style early in his career.

I dunno, Orton does have a history of running his mouth about random people in interviews. The Kelly Kelly and Mark Henry stuff offhand Also that reminds me of the time Orton said in an interview how the whole Raw roster was happy when in 2007 Triple H got drafted to SmackDown. Still surprised he didn't reach new, legendary levels of being a jobber over that.

When these guys come back they are fresh, rested, paid handsomely, and thrust right into big main event PPV matches. After seeing enough guys leave then get treated like royalty in their returns, I think the light bulb went off in CM Punk's head - THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT HE SHOULD BE DOING. I think he's said something that effect before.

Punk has been pulled from his @midnight appearance. What sucks about that is that the WWE didn't even book or promote his initial appearance on Nerdist, or on Talking Dead, or his Grammar Slam. But now that he's left, he can't even do the show. Granted, it makes sense, since it was to be an all-WWE episode, but it still sucks. Hopefully, he'll be able to do it with Foley and Colt sometime down the road without the WWE's say-so. Also, I find it funny that WWE hasn't pulled any Punk merchandise, or even discounted it. I've been tempted to get a CM Punk hoodie before they disappear, but don't feel like giving the lion's share to the E in this situation.

I want Snitsky's take on all this. He'd turn into a discussion of AJ's shoe size.

Maybe it went down a different way...Maybe... (funky flashback sound effect and visual)
A nondescript Confrence room, somewhere deep in the bowels of The WWE Performance Center...a meeting, joined in progress...
Linda: *Consider yourself insubordinate* Otunga: *Hunter, did you fire CMPunk?* Linda: You *don't* have to answer that question! HHH: I'll answer the question! [to Otunga] HHH: You want answers? Otunga: I think I'm entitled to. HHH:: *You want answers?* Otunga: *I want the truth!* HHH:: *You can't handle the truth!* [pauses] HHH:: Son, we live in a world that has fans, and those fans have to be entertained by men with "guns". Who's gonna do it? You? You, Paul Heyman? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for CM Punk, and you curse the WWE. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That CM Punk's departure, while tragic, probably saved this business. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves jobs. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at Acess, you want me in that ring, you need me in that ring. We use phrases like work rate, push, Main Eventer. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent entertaining The WWE Universe. You use them as a promo. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who flips and flops on the mat, in the very same ring that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a gimick, and climb a turnbuckle. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to. Otunga: Did you fire CM Punk? HHH: I did the job I... Otunga: Did you fire CM Punk? HHH: *You're Goddamn right I did!*

I'm just saying, Punk was already part of a Wrestlemania Main Event, so he shouldn't be so salty. {Spoiler}{Spoiler} ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

Just once, I'd like to see someone do the opposite and get a trailer to tour around the country playing baseball. You know, taking their home and going ball.

I didn't think it was worth making a thread for this so I'll just ask it here. Does anyone have the video with that psycho Edge fan "shooting" on Punk after he cashed in his MITB case on Hardy?

I wonder what would've happened if they actually booked Punk to win the Royal Rumble?
'Cause, to be honest, I didn't really see Bryan winning the Rumble. There were three people I thought would win the Royal Rumble: CM Punk, Batista, or Del Rio.
Punk because of the whole "Well, we're gonna start you at no. 1. Try and win it from there!" angle with the Authority.
Batista because of the hype of his return.
Del Rio because of Batista's return, and he'd be the dick to ruin it, thus setting up their match at Wrestlemania, with CM Punk v. Orton for the WWE Championship as the Main Event, Daniel Bryan v. Triple H, and John Cena v. The Undertaker.
If things played out the way they did even with Punk winning the Rumble, what would've been the damage control for the WWE?
