Houston Chronicle beat writer John McClain reports that the Texans are deciding between South Carolina edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney, Texas A&M QB Johnny Manziel, or a trade at No. 1 overall.

Stellar reporting there by the Houston Chronicle. f***, anyone in the world coulda pieced that together.
That McClain mighta been able to figure out that perhaps something was amiss at Nakatomi Plaza.

If those are the only 3 options they are entertaining, they should just trade to whomever they can get to do it. I think there is someone up I-45 who might be interested.
Seriously though, I think more of Manziel than most but wouldn't touch him at 1. Clowney will be a huge bust though. He'll be a contract year guy and nothing more.

According to NFL Network's Mike Mayock, NFL teams have concerns about Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater's inability to throw the ball with arm strength and accuracy at his Pro Day, and questions about whether Bridgewater would make for an effective "face of a franchise."
"I'm hearing a heck of a lot more second-round grades than first-round grades," Mayock said. "What I'm hearing is two things. Number one, when we saw him throw live we didn't see arm strength and didn't see accuracy. Number two, when you draft a quarterback in the first round you expect him to be the face of your franchise. ... I think people had some concerns about whether or not this young man is ready to step up and be the face of a franchise." Bridgewater seems headed for a Geno Smith-like tumble into day two.

If there is a QB worthy of a high first round pick I say they should go for it (though as a Colts fan I hope they draft a punter at #1 instead).

Bridgewater should have frozen himself like the Winter Soldier after his last game.

After watching a lot of Bridgewater's games the past 2 years....hey Elway if this guy is there in round 2......GRAB HIM!!!!!
He can make all the throws, he's a leader of men, moves well in the pocket...not a runner but can avoid hits and buy an extra second. Also he is EXCELLENT at play action deception.
Sorry I'll go more by what I've seen outta this kid then a made for media pro day event.
Can't see him going past round 2 with some teams drafting 20-32 having older QB's that need to start looking for their future one.

Between Dysert and Osweiler I think we're good and I wouldn't want to waste a pick on a guy this questionable. In more Bronco talk, they picked up the 2015 option on Von Miller today. That gives them next year to get DT and JT signed, then work on Von.

I really think Bridgewater as of this second is better than both and would only get better. I think what happened to him is just too much damn over-analysis. Guy was can't miss for 2 years until the off season, now he's got flaws? Good move on picking up the option on Von. Gives them 2 more years to realize if they want to go big on this guy. On field is no doubt...off the field, guy is one accidental contact high from being gone a whole year. He's got to show he's grown up if he wants the Broncos to pay him.

Aaron Hernandez is facing charges of assault and battery and threats to do bodily harm for his alleged jailhouse beating of a fellow Bristol County inmate in February. What a nice young man. Since we're inching closer and closer to the draft, I feel the need to make a prediction that will almost absolutely not happen and I'll look like a fool; but that's never stopped me before! The Rams will draft Johnny Manziel. For reasons both in and out of his control, Bradford really hasn't become the franchise guy that St. Louis wanted him to be. There's already talk that they want to draft a QB, and if they're looking for a guy who can step in and be their franchise guy (and I think Bortles and Bridgewater will be gone by the time they pick), Johnny Football just might be it. Personally, I don't see Manziel amounting to much, but what do I know? I do know that the Rams could be looking to send a message to Bradford, and assuming they don't move down like they're accustomed to doing, Johnny Football will play ball in St. Louis.

I don't know about that one. If they are trying to send a "get your head out of your ass" message to Bradford that'd be more of a Carr, Savage (lol) Garoppolo pick. If they go with Manziel, Bortles, Bridgewater that's a message more than anything else.

Not face of a franchise caliber? Bridgewater isn't what's best for business.

According to CBS' Dane Brugler, there's a "real possibility" the Browns select Texas A&M WR Mike Evans at No. 4 overall.
Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater admits he bombed his Pro Day, but believes his film "speaks volumes."

The Rams have to do O-Line, or Sammy Watkins in the Draft. Bradford's been getting killed with that line, and the lack of receivers. When he's gotten time to throw, he's looked good. Although if they want to get rid of him, send him to San Francisco to be a backup.
